Fixed my dead receiver in my fan
This replaced a dead ceiling fan receiver and wanted it wired to the wall - It was an Monto Carlo Fan that died and when I look to replacing the receiver and remote it was well north of $100 so I wanted to find a alternative and this was the ticket. For the most part it was as expected and quality was good - in all honest the directions could have been more clear and the instructions were also printed on a very small piece of paper that made it a little frustrating. The quality as mentioned above was solid and seems to be working just fine. I will soon be ordering a hand remote to go with this unit - however with the wall wired control you can never loose it! Please let me know if you need any more clarification and you can always post a question at any time and I can possible answer it.

Pretty intuitive to install but the stickers are confusing.
I bought this as a fix for a ceiling fan I installed. We have a house that's wired for wall switches to control the light and the fan speed. So I clipped the remote module out of the fan and hooked everything to the hard wires in the wall. Everything worked fine -EXCEPT the reverse on the motor of the fan -there was no external switch to change the direction of the blades, so I either needed to install the original module -which I cut way to short, or find a replacement. What I love is that this "remote" hard wires into the wall, so I won't ever lose the controller. The reverse function works great and the speed control replaces the old school 3 position slider switch I had in there. For the light function I capped the blue output wire coming from the receiver module up in the fan and used the dimmer switch already installed in the wall. The white ground wire functioned for both the motor and the light -it worked perfectly. The only kind of weird thing was the lack of instructions and odd stickers "do no put this wire on the white neutral" and "do not put this on the black input wire" -which were attached to the leads off the switch. When you're in your switch box the wire going to the fan motor is black as is the power lead wire coming into the box. With mine I had a 12-3 line coming out to the fan and so I made sure the "neutral" connected to the red wire going to the fan and it seems to work fine. The stickers on the wires of the "remote" are confusing they should say connect me to fan, connect me to power supply wire.

Good price, ok unit
Wish the power switch (on/off master control) was bigger as the small sliding switch is hard to operate. As well I wish the green light on/off button was larger too as this is the most commonly used button. Didnt know it at the time but I could have not installed the receiver that came with this switch and just used the one that came with my fan as the remote that came with the fan still operates through this new receiver without having to change the frequencies. Good price, ok unit, but likely will upgrade in the future when I find a better switch.

Perfect replacement for the receiver and wall unit that came with my Fanimation fan
Several months ago I uninstalled an 8-year old Fanimation ceiling fan from the master bedroom and installed a new Haiku Fan in its place. And just recently I hired an electrician to install a ceiling wall bracket in a guest bedroom so I could install the old fan there. At this point I realized I had failed to remove the Fanimation's remote control receiver from the master bedroom ceiling. So rather than take down the Haiku Fan to pull the receiver out, I found this product on Amazon. It looked the same so I decided it should work the same...and it does.I set the jumpers to the same configuration as the existing wall unit and remote control, wired the receiver to the Fanimation's motor, and mounted the Fanimation to the ceiling. Flipping the circuit breaker back on, I nervously pressed the Light switch on the remote control and on the wall unit...both of them worked! And of course the Lo, Med, Hi and Reverse functions also worked properly. So while this item does not carry the Fanimation logo, it is nevertheless the same OEM part. Note that I installed just the receiver from this kit. I'm saving the wall unit for yet another room.

Does what its supposed to but...
Works just fine. Easy enough to install. The reverse function didn't work for me but that's on the fan and not the controller. It would be so much more badass if:a) The switch itself was backlit.b) The lower end of the dimming cycle was dimmer yet.Other than that all I can say is "meh".

Used for Several Years with No Issues
The module for the remote on my fan went out right after the warranty period expired (of course). I found this replacement and I really like having all the controls on a wall panel instead of a remote control. I really didn't use the remote control so this suits me better. I've had this for several years now and have had no issues at all - highly recommend.

I was disappointed because I promised my customer that option and I ...
I bought this unite because the switch has a reverse option that I needed but it appears that the unite you install inside the fan has only three leads OUT of it: 1st - neutral, 2nd - light, and 3rd - fan. To have the reverse option it should have at least two more leads... I was disappointed because I promised my customer that option and I installed two of them without it... Otherwise, it works well but if you need a reverse option, be aware: there is not... Look at the picture carefully: if there are two leads IN and only three OUT, then the option is missing; you need more than three leads OUT, perhaps, five.

Works as advertised
This was a pretty straight forward install if you have some DIY experience. (If you installed the fan, you can install this kit.) Install took about 30 minutes and when it was finished, I had a fan that could be controlled with a wall switch. I did not want to keep up with yet another controller. So far, I just love it.
