I have to say I didn't expect much out this - but it totally worked great! Spray with a little oil, put the tortilla shell into the pan and close. It takes about 12-15 minutes to get a really good and crispy one. Maybe a tiny bit longer with the keto tortillas. Laugh as you might, but I actually love this thing! I made a few ahead and warmed them in the oven so we could have several people making taco salads at once. It's just fun and effective. I do recommend this if you like taco salad shells! Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. My husband absolutely loves this. He has already used it six times in less than a month. It’s perfect for a quick meal or snack and is super easy to clean.

For the cost, it’s a great product. I wanted to have a tortilla press because I eat alot of ground venison, bison, and beef very frequently in different forms for easy and lazy meal prepping. This grill saves me dishes and adds the benefit of a nice crunchy tortilla bowl for additional easy carbs. Feeling a breakfast bowl? Sure, scramble some eggs throw some vegetables in it and bam you have a super easy nutritious meal. The versatility of this product is only limited by your imagination. Throw whatever vaguely South American spices in a pan over some ground meat and throw it in one of the tortilla shells that took two minutes to make with some cheese, Greek yoghurt, and vegetables and you’ll feel like your having taco Tuesday. I enjoy the product, but I suspect the hinges may not last forever. You pay for what you get as far as the manufacturing build quality goes, but it’s inexpensive and good enough to probably last for years as long as you take care of it. I think this product would make for a great gift for the lazy cook in your life who doesn’t enjoy meal planning or wants low effort consistency to track their macros with.

I used the soft taco shells that came in the package of taco supplies. I think I’d use the larger wraps the next time I use this so that the bowl will be a bigger size.

This Taco Tuesday quesadilla maker is intended to use 8 inch shells. The first time I made a quesadilla, I put a light amount of refried beans & a light sprinkle of cheese & this was waaaay too much for the machine to handle. Everything seeped out the sides & it was a mess. I decided to remake it & I used half as much of the beans & cheese & this was also too much (see the above pictures). As you can see, after taking it out of the machine, it was ridiculously thin. As a vegetarian, I was only looking to put beans in there but if you wanted to put anything with substance in there like meat, there’s just no way it would work.I have the larger model (made by a different manufacturer) that uses a 10 inch shell & this isn’t an issue. I purchased two of these & one was to be a gift for my daughter but now I’m going to return the unused one because it’s just not going to work. I got this one thinking that it was perfect for one but it’s more trouble than it’s worth.
