LUOUSE 'Lana' Vintage 1950's Inspired Swing Evening Dress

Literally loved the dress. I did buy petticoat to give the effect I wanted. I would certainly order again and would definitely recommend.

I am a dress size 12-14 on top and dress size 14-16 on the bottom half. I have a size 34F bust, hour glass shaped and I am about 5ft 10ins tall. I ordered the size XL and it is a nice comfy fit on me. I was glad I ordered the XL as it just fits nice on me. The length of the dress is great as it falls just below my knees, which is fabulous when you have difficulty finding dresses for tall people.I have received a lot of lovely compliments about the dress and feel pretty wearing it. The dress comes with a white belt that is a little snug but you can wear it or leave it off, it’s your own personal preference.The material is not too heavy or wafer thin which is nice enough for comfort and style. The dress needs to be steam ironed to get heavy creases out but also to iron the pleats in to create the look on the dress. This took a lot of time and patience but once you get the hang of it, it looks lovely. I just used a normal iron with it set on low using the steam button which did the job perfectly. I have washed it on a cool 30 degree setting using a normal wash and it came out fine. I hung it straight up after washing then ironed it while it was still slightly damp to help with the pleats.You can wear this dress with or without a petticoat. I wore mine without a petticoat in the pictures shown so it still looks lovely without one but would recommend wearing a thin petticoat if you wanted to wear one because of the pleats. A bouffant petticoat would be too much for this dress.I wanted to give this dress a 5 star but the zip is very flimsy and feels like it gets stuck half way up, even though the dress wasn’t tight.Overall though, I absolutely love the dress and the unique colour/style of it! 😁👗👍

Really nice well cut dresses. We bought two 12s and two 10s (for a quartet) and they all fit us. A few things to note:- The sizes are actually L / M, not 12 / 10. We're a big 12 and a little 12 and both found the dresses fit fine. There's a tonne of room below the chest so really the only bit that's relevant size-wise is bust.- They're 75% cotton, not 97% as advertised (Probably a colour thing?)- Definitely don't expect to wear it straight out of the package. Due to the high cotton content, they definitely need a hot iron before you can wear it in public!

I've only just received the dress and haven't worn it out yet. I'm normally order a size 18, but these dresses were too big. So I ordered a size 16 this time, a bit snug on the waist otherwise is quite flattering. Lovely heavy material and the top is lined. The zip is stiff hence the 4stars. I had to zip it up to the back then wear it, as the zip was stiff around the lower back waist area. The dress is shorter than expected, just sits on the knee I'm only 5"4.

One of the first complaints of this dress is about the terrible material. People simply don't read the instructions. The material is stiff and scratchy when you first unpack it, but you're instructed to wash it. After washing the dress (I washed mine by hand, hung dry and ironed on low), the material loosens up, the colour settles down and becomes soft. I think it's very good material considering the price. 'better then Primark dress I'd imagine.The belt is also surprising good quality.This is a 9.99 dress. You can't even buy underwear for that price!Which is my concern. What are the ethics of this product? Slave labour? Deforestation?? Corners clearly had to be cut for some body to be making any money off this.And... It fits. I'm a boy, with... *clears throat* muscular shoulders. But surprisingly I think it looks quite flattering (for a boy). Wanted navy blue over the red, but it wasn't ready for my required delivery date, so... Yeah. My first... Dress (omg cringe)Hopefully it's completely ethical product 🤞

I received this today and when I tried it on I was really impressed. I was a bit sceptical about whether it would fit me as buying over the internet can be hit or miss but with this purchase I am a very happy customer. I am 5ft 2 and the dress length falls a little beyond my knees, I have also put weight on over the past two years and maybe what I would describe as slightly on the chubby side but this dress looks so good that it does appear to hide that flab.

I read a lot of the reviews because I wasn't sure about buying a dress on-line due to measurements etc. But I was nicely surprised, The Material isn't cheap as stated in another review, it is a nice cotton, You cannot see through it, it fits me very well, the dress is just below the knee and I am 5'6", so no problem there either. I ordered a 14 and it is a good fit, (Be honest about your size). I tried on many dresses in John Lewis last week to try and get something for my Birthday and was really disappointed at the shabby stitch work, the poor fit and there was one, the zip broke at the bottom as my Daughter pulled it up........came right out of the material!!! And No it wasn't too small for me, that one cost £90.00. So I am more that happy with my purchase, Thank you! Oh, and delivery was very prompt.

Wore this to Hampton Court flower show, was stopped constantly with compliments. Turns out it is cabbage ( leftover ) fabric from a Dolce & Gabbana factory. It is very good quality. Can't comment on the other colours, but at £9.99 it could be the best dress I have ever bought. I am going to buy another plain one and add some surface embellishment. The navy lemon print is unavailable now, but they are so well priced, it has to be worth a punt.I bought a size 12, fit like a dream.

El vestido es muy elegante.El cinturón le da toda la gracia.El tejido es suave y cómodo. Tiene consistencia, sin el cancán el vestido ya tiene vuelo. La tela no resulta gruesa como en los modelos de otras marcas, que están bien si vives en Islandia, pero que si habitas en un lugar más cálido parece que lleves una manta Paduana, para los que recuerden esta marca.Yo me lo voy a poner con un collar rojo y unas sandalias rojas. Queda sensacional. Elegantísimo.Me quedo con la referencia de esta marca para comprar otro modelo.Está claro que me ha gustado mucho. Lo recomiendo 100%

Wunderschönes Kleid. Schnelle Lieferung. Alles wie abgebildet nur ein kleiner Makel. Der Gürtel ist nicht so schön verarbeitet und die Knopflöcher dafür sind zu klein für die Knöpfe doch ich hab's selbst repariert. Nicht tragisch. Bin vollkommen zufrieden.

El vestido calidad, precio esta muy bien. El tejido tiene bastante cuerpo y al ser elasticose adapta muy bien.Yo mido 160 y peso 64 kg, he comprado la talla L y me va perfecta. Viene bastante arrugado, por que viene muy plegado pero es cuestion de plancharlo y perfecto, relacion calidad-precio me parece inmejorable, puesto parece otra cosa que cuando lo sacas de la bolsa. Una buena compra.

Es ist ein wunderschönes Kleid, das total super sitzt. Ich musste es in Größe "M" kaufen, da ich sonst Probleme mit der Oberweite (80D) bekommen hätte, es sitzt dort schon recht eng. Normal trage ich "S". Mit einem Petticoat darunter fällt es zwar auch sehr schön, allerdings ist mir das viel zu heiß, es ist schon ein etwas dickerer Stoff. Sehr gute Qualität und sauber verarbeitet.

La tela es suave y ligera. Tiene colores muy vivos pero no es exagerado. Le he puesto un cancan amarillo debajo y queda fabuloso. Pensè que que me haría parecer gorda pero nada de eso Estoy deseando estrenarloMe encanta esta marca. La descrubí el año pasado por casualidad y desde entonces tengo un montón de sus vestidos en mi armario. Buenisima calidad y diseños muy bonitos.. Le doy cinco estrellas pero se merece 10.Solo hecho de menos algún vestido en color rosa suave. Señores de Luouse, tomen nota por favor

Ich hatte bei dem Preis wirklich nicht viel erwartet, war aber dann positiv überrascht. Das Kleid ist qualitativ super. Guter Stoff, gute Passform, einfach ein Traum. Ob der Reißverschluss lange hält und wie es mit der Qualität auf Dauer aussieht, kann ich noch nicht sagen.Von mir bis dato absolute Kaufempfehlung - auch für kurvige Frauen.

Das Kleid passt allen, die wirklich super schlank und völlig muskellos sind, aber trotzdem noch Oberweite haben. Da ich nun einmal Sportlerin mit eigentlich Konfektionsgröße 36 bin strifft das auf mich nicht zu. Ich habe das Kleid 2x und schlussendlich in 38 bestellt und selbst da sitzt es doch ein wenig knapp. Habe es aber dabei belassen, weil das Atmen noch ging ;-)Achtung: Zukauf eines Petticoats ein muss, sonst sieht es nach nichts aus. Habe einen schwarzen Petticoat dazu gekauft, der etwas länger ist als der Rock - sieht schön frech aus und fällt schön.Tipp: mit einem andersfarbigen Taillengürtel bekommt das sehr schlicht gehaltene Kleid mehr Pepp. Ich habe z.B. den mitgelieferten Gürtel mit einem halbtransparanten Glitzerstoff überzogen und es somit zu einem Brautjungfernkleid aufgewertet.

Ich war erst etwas skeptisch ein Kleid bei Amazon zu kaufen, aber ich bin tatsächlich ganz glücklich damit. Der Stoff ist recht fest und "schwer", aber noch angenehm. Bisher hatte ich noch keine Gelegenheit das Kleid anzuziehen, aber ich werde mich mit Sicherheit darin wohlfühlen.Zur Passform: Da ich etwas mehr Oberweite habe, war ich erst skeptisch, ob das überhaupt passt. Aber tatsächlich fällt der Stoff oben gut und ich würde sagen, Damen mit weniger Oberweite wird es oben etwas weit sein. Um die Tailie ist es angenehm geschnitten. Trotz des festen Stoffs, habe ich genug Platz mich zu bewegen und zu atmen. Trotzallem bin ich zufrieden mit dem Kleid, werde aber vor dem Anlass trotzdem nochmal zur Schneiderin gehen um es perfekt anpassen zu lassen. Bei dem Preis ist das definitiv drin, dass genau so nachzuarbeiten, dass es perfekt (und nicht nur gut) sitzt! :)

Der Farbton war nicht so intensiv wie auf der Abbildung, daher bin ich etwas enttäuscht. Trotz der genauen Körperabmessung war das Kleid dennoch enger als erwartet (Gr. 40). Die (Stoff-)Qualität entspricht ihrem Preis. Für den Preis ist die Qualität angebracht. Manche Nähte könnten noch besser verarbeitet werden.

Ich habe mir das Kleid schonmal bestellt in Rot mit Knopfgürtel, jetzt habe ich mir die 9,99 € Version in Blau mit anderem Gürtel bestellt und ich bin soooooooo in Love. Ich bin zwar nicht Blond aber ich sehe darin aus wie Cinderella oder Alice im Wunderland, alles ist schön verarbeitet und ich liebe es so sehr. Der Stoff ist wie immer Dick une schnell am Knittern, aber selbst als ich es gearfe ausgepackt habe.... War es zerknittert schön. Also man merkt, ich habe ein neues Lieblings Kleid :-) 💙 auch kleiner Busen wie bei mir wirkt darin meiner Meinung nach Grösser euch den Schnitt und auch da es so zusammen geschnürt werden kann mit dem Gürtel, der TOP verarbeitet ist. Ich dachte erst da kommt so ein billig plasik Gürtel mit, aber er ist sehr hochwertig und ich liebe einfach alles an diesem Kleid!

Ich habe das Kleid im Angebot für ca. 30,- Euro gekauft- Preis Leistung Top! Ich trage sonnst Größe 36/38 und mir passte das M/38 sehr gut, lediglich die Armausschnitte sind meines erachtens zu eng geschnitten- das werde ich aber von einer Freundin ändern lassen :)Der Stoff ist sehr leicht und etwas unterfüttert, kratzt auch nicht.Ohne Pettcoat fällt es aber nicht so wie auf dem abgebildeten Bild, da braucht man schon einen Petticoat-Unterrock.Versand ging recht schnell, schneller als erwartet. Im großen und ganzen gut.

Hatte mir dieses Kleid bestellt um es evtl. auf einer Hochzeit zu tragen.Die Qualität und die Verarbeitung ist wirklich gut, das Kleid besteht aus relativ festem Stoff, ist also nicht das typische "Sommerkleid".Durch die Transportverpackung war der Rock des Kleides sehr zerknittert, aber das steht sogar in der Produktbeschreibung, somit war ich darauf vorbereitet. Wenn man das Kleid einmal wäscht und bügelt sollte der Rock schön glatt sein.Unter diesem Kleid muss man m.M. zwingend einen Petticoat tragen, da es sinst einfach nicht wirkt und der Rock schlapp herunter hängt. Aber mit Petticoat ist es wirklich sehr schön anzuschauen und macht eine tolle Figur.Ich hatte mir eine S bestellt, da ich auch sonst S trage und es hat perfekt gepasst. Es ging mit mit meinen 168 cm genau bis an die Knie. Und das Kleid ist gut für Frauen mit etwas mehr Oberweite (D-E) geeignet, auch in der Größe S.Ich habe es nur zurückgeschickt weil ich mich letztendlich doch für ein anderes Kleid entschieden habe.

Für den Preis einfach super. Allerdings finde ich es nicht so schön, dass das Kleid in einer Tüte versendet wird. Es kommt total knuddelig beim Kunden an.Wie gesagt, für den Preis ein tolles Kleid. Der Stoff ist angenehm und fest. Es kaschiert gut ;)Ich habe noch einen unterrock für 12€ dazu bestellt. So sitzt der Rock einfach besser.

Bei einer Größe von normalerweise 36/38 wegen der Oberweite habe ich das Kleid in L bestellt. Im Nachhinein hätte auch M gepasst... Aber ich bin so glücklich über das Kleid. Mir ist es lieber es nochmal zum kleiner machen in die Schneiderei zu bringen, als feststellen zu müssen das es zu klein ist. Das Kleid ist super verarbeitet, Qualität ist sehr gut! Hätte ich nicht so erwartet. Es ließ sich wunderbar aufbügeln und nachdem ich die Knöpfe an dem Gürtel etwas versetzt habe sitzt es so toll. Es sieht mit und ohne Petticoat wunderschön aus!! Ich bin absolut begeistert!!!

ich hatte das Kleid für einen Anlass bestellt, weil es im Internet so toll aussah.Leider geht es gar nicht!Ich bin mit über 1,70 m nicht gerade die Kleinste und trotz Größe S reichte mir das Kleid fast bis zu den Knöcheln!Das aus Sicherheitsgründen bestellte Kleid in M habe ich dann gar nicht mehr anprobiert.Beides ging postwendend zurück.Schade!
