LAFEBER'S Garden Veggie Nutri-Berries Pet Bird Food, Made with Non-GMO and Human-Grade Ingredients, for Parrots, 3 lb

This is my birds favorite treat. It will be great for birds who like to hold their food to eat. This is a good value for the price. Has good nutrition for treats. They smell good and the bag keep them fresh and dry.

As a pet bird owner, I have found that on occasion, I have had to change the brand of seed that I feed them, and this is sometimes due to finding a better quality seed. Another reason is that my parrots have grown bored with the same type of seed mix, which means I need to find something new and different. However, over ten years ago I discovered LaFeber’s Nutri-berries and since then I have never had to change. My parrots still look forward to this treat and I have not found anything better in nutrition or the convenient bird-friendly fun shape. I love that they make these Nutri-berries in several various flavors, and my parrots have four different favorites. This allows me to rotate these flavors, which holds their interest, because sometimes they need a change of taste. Some of the Many Benefits of Nutri-berries: 1. Nutri-berries are 100% eatable, there are no seed husks, and therefore there is no waste. 2. Most of the seed and grains are NOT ground up, which provides better nutrition. 3. There are NO artificial flavors or colors, therefore the orange pieces are real carrots, and the green pieces are real broccoli and peas. 4. Nutri-berries contains the nutrition found in pellets, and since my birds refuse to eat pellets, this alternative is ideal to supplement with their cooked and fresh veggies, along with their daily ration of seed. 5. Most of my parrots like to hold and eat the nutri-berries in the claws of their feet and therefore these are convenient and easy to hold round shapes. 6. Ready to serve right out of the package, and therefore no other preparation is necessary. Serving Suggestions: Although the Nutri-berries are ready to eat directly from the package, I use a variety of methods, just to keep things interesting. 1. Sometimes I serve these nutri-berries as an evening treat in a separate food dish, and along with their seed ration for the night. Each parrot receives 3 Nutri-berries along with a halved in shell walnut or an in shell almond, with a slice of apple, a large juicy grape, or a whole fresh baby carrot. 2. In addition, I use the Nutri-berries in my own ‘birdie trail mix’. I mix 1 Cup of Nutri-berries with 1 cup of organic and whole grain breakfast cereal that has no added sweeteners, such as Shredded Wheat, Wheat Chex, Rice Chex or Cheerios. Then I’ll add 1 Cup of raw, unsalted, and unroasted variety of nuts. My last addition is 1 Cup of chopped and dried fruit, and I mix these wholesome ingredients together and give each of my parrots a ¼ cup serving. This presents a tasty and nutritious snack that’s filled with different, colors, tastes, and textures and has always been a major success. Sometimes at the end of the bag are small broken pieces and the crumbles from the berries, but I have a use for these too. These I save to pour over their morning cooked and fresh veggies, as a nutritious topping that adds an unexpected crunchy texture over their soft food.

Second time that a 3 lb bag arrived with contents solid lumped together inedible due to possible mold. Birds will not eat them and this is one birds only diet plus miller due to medical issue. That's , 80.00!!? Down the drain. They have none. I can't keep buying tainted nutriberries! I'm very upset. Elder on SSI.

For years, I've been giving my parrots Lafeber's Nutri-Berries b/c I don't have to worry about the quality of them nor the nutritional value of them. The gourmet ones make good treats and fun surprises to hide in their food dishes and toys. They're a skosh pricey sometimes, though this seems to vary depending on the variety and time of year. The Garden Veggie variety is the only one of the gourmet Lafeber Nutri-Berries that my Jardines gets bored of after a while. I'd like to see Lafeber zhush it up just a bit.

I have a cockatoo & conjure and they both like this treat. I sometimes give it to them to try to get more veggies in their diet. I sprinkle this with some veggies in their plate and they eat it all.

Les NutriBerries ont toujours été bien apprécié en friandise donc toujours satisfaite d'en trouver a prix correct/ Taille des " boules" bien adaptés a la préhension d'un perroquet de taille moyenne , visiblement on apprécie bien gustativement le produit, a tester les autres saveurs de la gamme.

Rather pricey but they love them can’t seem to get them in the pet stores so worth the price from Amazon, always fast delivery too

My birds love foraging and seed so these berries are fantastic by combining both fun and nutrition. They seem to taste great too as the birds seems to really enjoy them.
