Disney Princess: A Magical Pop-Up World

This is the most beautiful and magical book ever, it mesmerizes everyone that grabs it, I wish it was a bit more durable, some parts are starting to break, but I guess it’s normal, you need to use it with care so I do not recommend kids handling it!

The media could not be loaded. Gorgeous pop-up book with 5 large pop-up pages & even more mini pop-ups in the corners of each page. Each pop-up is so elaborate & whimsical. I bought this to show my babies an exciting new kind of book & even though they’re not really ready for it, it’s fun to flip through as an adult too.

My 1 and a half year old is absolutely obsessed with this book.

The media could not be loaded. I am crazy about this book! I got it for my 2 year old who is in a princess-era, but I am keeping it for myself until she’s a little older and can be gentle with it. I could see how it would be easy to tear/break, but it’s soooo beautiful & detailed; so well made. I look forward to passing this book down for generations!

I wish I had taken a picture before I gave it to my granddaughter. It is simply beautiful. I had a problem with the first one they sent (maybe during shipping) and they took care of me right away. This guy does incredible work, and I bought the Superheroes book for my grandson, who also loved it! Very impressive and detailed!

My niece LOVED this book. She's only about 15 months so we don't let her touch it on her own, but my sister was completely smitten with the book when we happened upon it at the mall. I decided to surprise her with this for Christmas and she was just as happy as baby girl! There are so many details and surprises in the book. I will admit that I was disappointed when I did my immediate flip through and found that a few of the anchors weren't properly glued down, but it was easily fixable with double sided tape. Some of the pop ups transform with extra tab pulls. Some of them will feel really tough - I felt scared to tug on some of them because I felt like something would break (nothing has though!). Really lovely book for the Disney lover and something that you can keep and marvel at for years to come.

This book is seriously magical. I did not have too many issues with tearing (not nearly as much as I would expect buying a massively ambitious, USED, pop up book). I was struck by how detailed and just- there’s no other word for it- magical this book is!My only qualm is an editorial one. They do technically have all of the princesses (up to time of publication, so not Moana), however there are only 5 main spreads and 11 smaller books throughout each spread (I told you- ambitious!). Of the 11 smaller books, 5 are devoted to the same 5 of the main spread. Of the 5 on the main spread, all of them are white. Rapunzel (who is a great princess, but no one’s favorite) dethrones both Jasmine and Pocahontas for a larger spread. I’m not usually one to notice that sort of thing, but I just didn’t like seeing every Disney Princess of color as a tiny book next to the larger white princesses (some of whom, honestly no one cares about).I REALLY hope they make this again- it is so ingenious and meticulous. Everything you’d expect from Disney. But I hope next round they shine more spotlight on the diverse (and so interesting! Hello, Mulan??) princesses. And at the very least, devote all the small books to the second tier princesses, wherever they may be. Economizing but still doing them justice.

Well made, entertaining, great quality I just wish it had more to read. It only has short stories and too many stories in one page. But this book is extremely well crafted!!!
