Update 7/2024: Going on 3rd summer season. Still works great and no leaks. The shiny chrome metalized plastic has tarnished, but works fine. My usage is summer only. It’s disassembled and stored indoors during winter. Happy with this product for the money. Upgraded to 5 stars. ———————————— Foremost, it works. This was a simple inexpensive way to add a rinse-off shower at an ocean beach house. Even when not in direct sun, the water will warm to the ambient temperature by early afternoon making for a pleasant non-frigid rinse. At least for now, this thing does what it's supposed to do. The plastic tower/tank is sturdy enough. I chose to bolt it directly into a concrete patio. Still, I'm sure if kids climbed on this, it would break. The fixtures, like the faucet, shower head and shower head pipes are incredibly cheap/flimsy. Very pretty metalized plastic so they look just like real plumbing parts (but they're not). You can easily break these parts assembling them if you're not careful and over tighten. This is where they saved costs. We'll see how these fixtures hold up, but won't be surprised if upgrades are needed in the future. I'm especially wary of the plastic shutoff faucet. Assembly was straightforward, but required a little innovation and mechanical sense. Instructions are merely a guide and did not completely match my hardware. Teflon tape was included to eliminate leaks, but you're supposed to already know how to use this stuff. Make sure to wrap all threads with teflon tape before screwing anything together. You'll have to visit your local plumbing store like Home Depot to purchase proper adapter(s) for connection to any American standard garden hose. And be extra careful when tightening any pipe/fixture threads as you can easily break the el-cheapo plastic pipes and fixtures. Instructions warned not to use tools, but it's ok if you wrap parts with a rag and very carefully snug with hand tools. I don't have any leaks. It's a well engineered product for a very low price point. But, you get what you pay for. It's just a step above "throw away toy" in my opinion. I intend to remove and store indoors for the winter. I'll be thrilled to get more than 2 seasons of use from this and hope to be surprised. Bottom line, it works. If in the sun, you'll have pleasant warm showers.

This is awesome for an outdoor shower! I use it to wash the dog and rise of from the pool!

Just installed it and it works. There was an attachment to use for US garden hoses included. I needed a 31/64 drill bit for the mounting screws. No idea yet how quickly it heats up or how well it will hold up. It did take several minutes for the tanks inside to fill and water to come out the shower head. It leaks some at the input location for the hose. I used the teflon tape included (and it doesn't leak at any other place). I'm planning on leaving the water off unless we're using it anyway.

I have been an Amazon member for over 15 years and consider myself an active buyer of products. This is the very first time I am taking the time to write a review, because I personally appreciate truthful reviews that helps me consider products and accurate product review is essential to Amazon's core value. This is meant to hopefully generate positive energy to be able to improve the product. The look and idea of the product is fantastic; however, the execution and quality are beyond unacceptable. It is clear the product design team did not think through issues or listen to clear warnings from previous comments. I bought and installed this item in April 2022. Did not start using it until the pool was opened late May. By then the return window was closed. The very first time I operated this item, I could hear cracking from the seals in the middle of the product. I have included a video to clarify it. When designing a product, one should go through the process of running tests. If anyone had actually done so, they could clearly see the level of seal associated with holding the part together is absolutely no match for the water pressure against it. In addition to the large issue, the shower cap provided in the package was damaged. I got another one from the local box store, which was no big deal. As I had mentioned earlier, I had lost the return window before the first use and had thrown away the box already as I had planned on having a product last for a reasonable time. So, my money is gone unless the seller feels they like to refund it to my account. I will leave it completely up to them. If you are considering this product, unless they significantly improve the quality, please consider other options as well.

I waited for 30 days after my purchase to provide a more comprehensive review of this product. My purchase was delivered FEDEX 3 days after my order was processed. I do not have Prime membership in Amazon so was happy for the quick delivery. This review is from a Florida resident and I could see where this may not be a practical device to utilize in an environment where it freezes. Seasonally it could be utilized in the northern latitudes but I would definitely winterize this unit if it freezes where I lived. Assembly was a synch and I was able to do it by myself. I did purchase a few pieces of PVC fittings at home depot to make the hose fitting more secure and leakproof. I also purchased four stainless steel bolts to mount this shower to my deck as the materials they provided would rust immediately in my environment. I would also recommend using every bit of Teflon tape you receive on every fitting possible. Use the hose washers and other materials the manufacturer provides. I would also not recommend cranking your hose faucet open all the way when running this shower as you water delivery pressure may exceed the manufacturers recommend pressure for this shower. I find cracking my hose faucet open a half of turn works well. I also do not recommend leaving the shower under pressure when not in use. The shower must be in direct sunlight for it to work as recommended. The more sun during the day, the hotter the water. The colder it is outside the cooler the water. So on a cool day with clouds this shower may not do the trick, but is still better than cold tap water. This is the exception however, because on the majority of days I have utilized this shower I have received results of over 100 degree water. A nice warm shower would be about 95 degrees and I have been able to achieve water temperatures on most days at 105 degrees. This allows one to enjoy a 95 degree shower for 5 to 7 minutes which is plenty of time for a quick rinse off after yard work of a swim at the beach. Hope your results are as good as mine!

For the price, this is an awesome outdoor solar shower that you hook up to your hose or irrigation system. It is a little tricky to assemble (fittings for shower head and faucet) and you will need to figure out how to secure it to the ground (I attached it to an umbrella base using just two of the bolt holes and then buried it in 12 inches of rocks— ideally you would bolt to cement). You will need a 3/4 to 1/2 female/female hose adaptor which costs $7 at the hardware store. Contrary to what some have said, mine doesn’t leak (maybe a little drip from shower head) except for the hose fitting because I don’t know how to tighten it properly. Even then it is just a small drip and I will turn it off at the source when not using it (fills up fast and warms up in an hour or two in the sun). Note, the shower head is relatively cheap plastic but it fools you into looking pretty nice. Keep in mind you will have to empty and uninstall for the winter. If this gives me 2 years usage I will be happy and for the price likely buy another one if this one break. Overall pretty happy with the purchase.

The shower works great. Keep in mind that when the sun goes down, the water will cool off. Other than that, there is more than enough to take a full-on shower for two with hot water left over. As you can see from the photos, we attached a few things to ensure we have everything we need. Also, we ordered from Amazon 4 rebars (Rebar-Stakes-12-Inch, Ground Stakes Heavy Duty J-Hook Galvanized Anti-Rust Tent Stakes Heavy Duty Ground Anchors) to put into the ground to hold the shower upright, as we put this on a small area of grass. Then we put a small piece of wood to keep the shower from falling back onto the house, as we didn't want mold between the house and the shower as we live in Florida.
