Great value for basic protection
The media could not be loaded. Alright, first things first. I've seen lot of people mention their case attracting dust or fingermarks but most of these seem to be with the black colour, so I ordered the blue version. As shown in the video, this blue version seems to be more resistant to fingermarks with only light smudges that fade away over time. I held it in my hands during a two-hour meeting and no permanent fingermarks were left on the outside so please keep this in mind when choosing your colour options. As for the case itself, it works a lot like the official folio, attaching magnetically to the back of the iPad and with a tri-fold cover that also doubles as a stand. The lid includes magnets for auto-wake or sleep. The case attaches sturdily enough and you'd have to really shake it hard in order for the iPad to fall out. If it flips open by accident however, the iPad will also fall out of it so this case is no substitute for handling expensive electronics with care. Since this case doesn't have any edge coverings, a fall onto a hard surface will almost certainly cause visible damage to your iPad.What's neat about this case is that it has an additional flap that can hold the Pencil in place while it charges so it won't get bumped off when moving the iPad around. The flap can magnetically attach to the back in viewing mode, and has two closed positions so it doesn't leave a gap if you don't have a Pencil. This is a really nice touch. In viewing mode, the stand is sturdy enough to stay put on a desk or even a train or airplane table. On softer surfaces like a lap or bed, it can wobble a little. All in all, it's great value for basic protection. It does better than the official folio case for about a quarter of the price and so long as you're not careless with it, it'll serve you well. If you need a more rugged case though, you'll have to explore other options since this case isn't designed for rough handling.

Just what I wanted. Tip-top
Another case I had that was similar (but with a plastic back which the iPad corners clipped into) had broke near the camera, so I thought I'd give this one a go after finding ESR had good customer service on another product of theirs... not disappointed! :)It's quite lightweight, which is what I'm after. Sure, if you drop it it's not gonna have any corner/edge protection, so if that's what you want this isn't the case for you. But, it fits well and protects the screen and back fine. Fine for sticking in and out of bags or just carrying about the house and giving that extra bit of needed base-level protection. It also has a flap to keep my pencil in place which saves worrying if carrying it about outside where brushing it wrong could make my £100 Apple Pencil disappear down a drain. The magnets hold the flap nicely in place with the pencil, or if leaving the pencil behind also magnetises down nicely without a big gap. Neat. Also when using stood up the magnets can hold the pencil flap on to the rear of the case so it doesn't randomly flap over into the way of the screen. The other thing I like is that the iPad magnetises into the case, rather than clip in. It seems pretty solid so I haven't had any worries, but it also means it pops out pretty easily. I wanted the big 12.9" iPad for good reason but it can be quite heavy to hold while reading. Even a light case adds some more weight to an already weighty iPad, so it means I can easily just pop the case off to read for a bit, then just pop it back on as soon as I'm done or want to use it lying on a table. The case is only slightly thicker than the camera bump. So it's fine for putting flat on a table and drawing with. I'd be careful of putting it down on a very gritty surface and doing extreme pressure drawing though as maybe you could scratch your camera lenses if you tried hard enough! Getting a straight edge there's <1mm depth from camera lens to case back. So this seems fine to me as I want a light thin case, but something to be aware of if you're the kinda person wants a big thick beefy case (or get a camera lens protector). So, in summary:* Lightweight* Easily removable* Fit's well - doesn't seem cheap/rough/unfinished or shoddy in any way* Nice material/finish - smooth leathery plastic outside, slightly fuzzy microfibre inside (that doesn't smell funny and isn't particularly finger-print-attracting - yep I read those reviews before I got mine, but know ESR customer service is pretty good, so went for it anyway)* Sits flat for drawing, or raised at a slight angle, or near upright - the 3 positions I want.So overall highly recommended for my use case. Seems as good as the £50 Apple one, but with the added benefit of back protection that means it sits flat on a table to draw with, and also has a pencil flap. Seems a no-brainer. However, if you want some hardcore thick thing for the peace of mind that you can repeatedly drop it on your kitchen floor or throw your iPad in the passenger footwell of your truck, probably not the one for you.

Quality that will last
My last 2 iPad Pro cases were ESR, whilst my wife always spends 3X more (from my wallet) for Apples own.The ESR version is better in my opinion because:• The magnets have exceptional hold, that keeps your iPad secure• The extra flap when closed, stops you loosing your Apple Pencil, or falling off• Your iPad is expensive tech, and this keeps it nicely protected around the house, when travelling and in the office• I use the Apple keyboard, so it’s very convenient to quickly swap from the case to keyboard, and back again*• Just as important, it aligns perfectly, and doesn’t cheapen your prize possessionThat’s my opinion, and I can’t see anyone being disappointed with this.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️*If you do have young children, or a more robust routine, you would want to consider protecting the sides too. Be aware that this doesn’t do that, which makes changing cases easier.

Damn! What an incredible cover!
Talk about premium feeling cases ❤️ This case feels so good! And the fact that it’s magnetic is even better! It doesn’t thicken the edges of the iPad by much and offered good protection for the screen and back of the device ❤️ and when I feel like having the iPad bare with no case! No struggle at all to get off and back on! The stand is strong and able to handle heavy taps with barely any movement ❤️ 10/10 would by again

Sturdy and feels premium
Magnet is strong and its so easy much easier to use (rather than take it out of a case where its clipped in when I want to transfer the ipad to my stand).Love the feel of the outer material, looks smart and the flap over the pencil ensures I won't lose my pencil (again).

So glad I didn’t spring for the apple version
Just wanted to try it, I love it though. The case is light, durable, little hard to pull off, but not horrible. I really like being able to swap from my Magic Keyboard to this without having to go through a lot of trouble. I was worried about the back fold giving way, but it is a long enough in now to feel comfortable with it. I recommend for anyone, especially for the price.
