Lamp looks great when new. Unfortunately, after two years, the finish is flaking off in places and looks like it is getting corroded. It is supposed to be aluminum, so I am surprised that it does not withstand weathering better. Not sure if this is an issue with the type of metal or the finish that is applied on top. I have other similar lamps that look great after 17 years (I did sand and spray paint about 6 years ago). With the Elk, not only the finish gets earthen away but there looks to be a bubbling of the metal and flaking off. It is the type of corrosion that I associate with rust. Not recommended!

After owning these for two years I finally got around to installing in the new house and the wire shorted out on the fixture and won’t operate again. All I saw was sparks and pulled the fixture apart and it broke the wire because of the ground wire touching the black internally. Not pleased with this and would love a refund.

just got it today...will install it on weekend.first impression is that it is very very light...which is not bad. It is made from aluminum which makes it rustproof.The other first impression, is that it is small...looks like just enough room for small light bulb...so if I have a bigger bulb , it won't fit....hopefully it looks good installed.

Best price on the net at the time we purchased. Love how they look on our house. We got the matching flush mount fixture for the front porch.

Very pretty but a little light weight. Not metal. Still looks good. Good buy overall. Be sure to measure your area first. Could have gotten the larger one.

I was not sure how this 14 inch light would look on the front of the house but I ended up buying three 18 inch with the same style as well. Now that they are all installed, the 14 inch on the balcony, two of the 18 inch over the garage and the other beside the front door, they are absolutely beautiful.Really love the design, colour, and weight of them. Would definitely buy again!

it makes get to my door much brighter. Just love it and my family thing I did a great job choosing it. Had to return the first one because part of the light was missing but I received a replacement in less than a week.
