I had experienced a trauma to my face. An animal bite. My emergency room surgeon recommended I immediately start using a silicone base gel. This worked great. I didn't think the tube would last for the duration, but it totally did.

I love this stuff so much. I can’t say how it works on old scars but it is fabulous for new surgical scars. I am an occupational therapist and was specifically looking for a silicone based product that I could use during scar massage to prevent keloids and normalize sensation. This stuff is perfect and I love how it keeps the scar from feeling dry or tight. I had a tummy tuck 6 months and had a hip to hip incision. Once my incision healed and my doctor gave me the go ahead, I started using this religiously twice a day for a couple minutes of scar massage. I have no keloids, the scar is already starting to turn thin and white, and I have no hypersensitivity anymore. Both the dermatologist and the plastic surgeon have said my scar looks amazing. I can’t recommend this cream enough, in my opinion it is worlds better than the scar strips or other scar creams.

This gel dries in a few minutes. It's only been a day but it is alleviating the dry tight feel like the other silicone products I've tried. The old serum I had took 10-15 minutes to fully dry. This is more like 5. This Glavedo 30 gram tube was the best value per volume that I could find. It was 9.97 USD when I got it. A great value. I've only started using silicone after two years of annoying scar formation so I can't speak to its effectiveness at flattening out the keloid structure. After a few days though it went from a deep angry red to a more pinkish color so it stood out less if such things matter to you. I'll update this review if it's warranted. Update: After a longer time using this and a silcone oil I have observations. The gel I think contains less silicone and requires more applications to keep the scar tissue protected. With this gel it needs to be applied 4 times a day and is rubbed off overnight. With the oil I apply twice a day and it stays protective overnight. The gel is still useful though as it definitely cures (dries) quicker. I'll keep a tube in my vehicle for days when I forget the morning oil application.

So I was in a bad car accident at the end of 2022 and, to say the least, I have lots of different types of scars that I've been able to use to experiment with this product. The picture I've included is the worst of them, a skin graft across my shin. As you can see - I've gotten some results, applying twice a day (alongside a LOT of scar revision massage). Red, raised areas have softened and lightened. But it's best to temper your expectations. There is no topical product on the market that will make your scars disappear (trust me, I've looked). This gel has made the most significant difference on hypertrophic tissue, but results have been much less significant on areas that healed as flat, white scars. I think that's the best you can expect from silicone gel products; it's also the largest, least expensive option I could find. For those reasons I've given it the full 5 stars.

The product is easy to use and seems to work. However, the packaging was disappointing. The cap lid broke off and left open the content inside. Never seen a cap issue like this.

This is the third silicone scar gel brand that I’ve tried after dismissing out of hand many brands with little or no silicone at all. The first one I tried was excellent, but cost $65 for 30g. The second was comparably priced to Scar Gel but it’s small rollerball applicator made too difficult to apply on body locations I couldn’t see. Scar Gel was perfect. It’s active ingredients are basically the same as the expensive gel. It’s also 30g. Because it’s a tube, not a pump, you can use every last drop and a fraction of the price. I’m still a work in progress (post accident surgery with lots of scarring) but Scar Gel is making a difference.

I've been had this scar gel about 2 weeks or so and already see an improvement. I had a scar on my pinky knuckle that just wasn’t healing properly and only used it only a few times, not consistently and it’s already fading. I have also been using it on my 13 year old c-section scars and notice that the scar is not as thick and is starting to fade. I wish I had taken pics before I started, but by the look and feel of it, it I feel that the gel is truly working. I already need to purchase another tube since my kids keep trying to use it as well. Lol I happy with my purchase and feels that it works better than any other over the counter gel that I have used in the past.

I’m kinda impressed at how quickly I noticed a difference. I wanted to take pictures along the way to see if there really were any changes, and I was surprised to see them. I’ve used more expensive scar creams before with no results. I’ve used this one for a week and feel the raised parts of the scar flattening, the edges are lighter, and even the stretch mark next to it lightened a bit. (See pics: left is before, right is after a week). I’m eager to see how much more it’ll improve as I continue using it. Great value for a great product!
