A soothing audio masterpiece
I just received my first purchase from the Acoustic Sounds Series and it’s a flat quiet audio killer. Poly lined inner sleeve and thick stoughton gatefold are sweet. Sound stage is outstanding. Truly essential….A soothing masterpiece!!

sound quality is great, but I might have a pressing defect.
The media could not be loaded. Amazing sounding record. Better than the OG I have. It just sucks I have a pressing defect. Played it also on my other turntable and the stutter is exactly the same.

The best inexpensive pressing available.
Simply a great pressing by Acoustic Sounds. Perfect copy. Very recommended.

Great Record, Great Pressing, Bad Batch
I love this record and wanted the Acoustic Sounds version pressed at QRP. For $25 it’s a steal but buyer beware you are getting a bargain product for a bargain price. I ordered a copy and then a replacement, both had marked up jackets, no insert, relatively noisy records (for QRP standards) and a tear on the inner gatefold. I am betting they are all like this and the lower quality is what you get for the lower price. If you don’t mind an imperfect product get it, if not order direct from Acoustic Sounds or elsewhere.

Amazing Sound for Only $21?!
The rating is based on the sound quality. Other issues are fairly minor and shouldn't really affect the review unless the cover is smashed or bent really badly. You heard that right. This record is one of the best sounding, audiophile-grade records I've had. The closest thing I have is the OG mints and the Rush Remasters from 2015 to compare with. For how cheap this is, you have to wonder what they did to get it to sound this good.Very quiet on the parts with no sound. I can't even hear the needle running across the vinyl. Very clear vocals, sax, and piano. Nothing here is hidden from your ears. You can very distinctly hear the echo in the studio coming into the other mics. Very nice, and very pleasant sounding. The Inner sleeve is a high-quality rice paper sleeve with regular paper on one side. The gatefold is very cool. Presented with the shiny plastic that likes to get fingerprints. Most likely to copy the OG. The cardboard used is very high quality, though the binding is a bit strong and might rip the middle of the opening.Setup:Audio Technica LP-120 with Phono Pre-amp removedNagaoka MP-110 CartridgeKenwood KA 5500 Phono Input and no EQ adjustedSennheiser HD 6xx

Warped record
Warped, replacement product was warped as well. Tired of dealing with it so I kept it.

Gotta buy it!
5 STARS! For the price of $21 it can’t be beat! The 45RPM does have slightly better imaging and better dynamics, it’s noticeable after switching the LP. I guess the mastering on the 45 was done better but this 33rpm does sound very good. If I had only owned the 33rpm I’d be satisfied with it and not be tempted to own the 45 but for comparison sakes 45rpm from AP tops it. Usual with 45rpms, they just sound better. Another note: This is heavier than a 180 grams! I have the 45rpm from AP and they are identical in weight. It’s 200grams vinyl! I have weighed with other 200 gram vinyls and the one I received from AMAZON which states 180grams is actually 200 grams.

Hermosa edición de Verve (2020) de sonido claro limpio 100% análogo
The media could not be loaded. Gracias Verve!

Superb pressing and quality sound, fabulous sound stage, warm, intimate. Acoustic sounds pressing
Vinyl – this is a good pressing - Acoustic sounds pressingWarp – non flat and level no edge warpSurface noise – quiet no audible surface noise no pop’s hiss or crackleNo fill – no obvious pressing defectsCover – well made nicely presented coverA good quality pressing with excellent sound qualityReview of the Verve 2014 Stereo and Mono versionsThe stereo sound stage and imaging is outstanding and aids in creating a very warm intimate atmospheric recording. The recording has stood the test of time very well and sounds as if the musicians recorded it recently. This is perhaps a tribute to the re-mastering engineers. The mono versions are worth having as they bring a very different perspective to the depth and sound stage. The mono mix sounds even richer than the stereo version. Both versions are very good, just different.I have not set out to write reviews of the music content as “beauty is in the ears of the listener”. These reviews are about the quality (or not) of the recorded sound. To read about how the reviews are done please see my profile. • Clarity – very good, open and detailed • Channel separation – very good left and right channel separation. • Channel balance – excellent a superb mix which creates a truly great sound stage • Sound Stage – excellent, very wide and detailed, instruments and musicians very well placed. This is an outstanding sound stage very warm and enticing. • Distortion – non audible • Compression – no frequency limitation audible • Atmosphere – spectacular, very warm and intimate. Personal enhanced by the stunning sound stage and warmth of the playing. The details are to revel in, or even wallow! • Bass – low frequencies – the drums are crisp and clear, the cymbals shimmer without being over bright and brittle. The double bass has a warm sensuous tone and the strings are clearly audible with good decay. Overall the bass is deep and rich. • Treble – high frequencies – the piano is well balanced with good tone and note decay. The brass has a good punch and edge. The warm softness of the saxophone is beautifully captured. The breathy edginess is entrancing • Vocals – warm, intimate, personal soft. Both male and female vocals have good timbre. As a general rule of thumb recordings from the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s are nearly always better on the original vinyl. Remasters often fail to please as it’s just not possible to make a silk purse from a sows ear, i.e. the original recording lacks the necessary detail to be processed digitally and show an audible improvement. Indeed such processing can make the sound worse.Modern recordings which have been processed digitally from start to finish can be as good as vinyl. CD’s are often unfairly criticised for being poor quality. This is not the case, it is the original recording or the process which is to blame. Modern “remasters” can both enhance and degrade a recording. The statement GIGO (Garbage In Garbage Out) is the limiting factor. Ignore this at your cost.

Great album
This is a great record; well pressed and presented in a superior quality record jacket. I wasn’t aware on purchase that it was imported from the US and between the initial cost and customs it ended up costing me €70 which can only be described as ridiculous for one vinyl record. The jacket was a little damaged from all the travel but the vinyl was perfect

Great music and superb sound quality.
This classic album has been reissued many times but this is certainly the best vinyl version I have heard.
