Reliable and Accurate Networking with the MicroScanner2
The media could not be loaded. The MicroScanner2 has become an essential part of my networking tool kit since 2011. This reliable and accurate tool has been used to measure and troubleshoot thousands of cables, and the toner generator helps to quickly identify and isolate problems. Moreover, it can be used to troubleshoot coax cables, making it a powerful and versatile addition to any toolbox. After four purchases over the years, I can confidently give the MicroScanner2 a 5/5 rating and highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve the accuracy and reliability of their networking.

Awesome product
Amazing. Acurate and super easy to use. The only downside is that if it breaks Fluke doesn't repair so if the main unit breaks your out $500. The upside is they take a pretty good beating.

Excellent network cabling diagnostic tool
The Fluke MicroScanner2 cable verifier is a terrific network cabling diagostic tool. I went from a no-name brand "which pins are connected" tool to this beauty. It not only tells you which pins are connected, and how long the cable is ... if there's an issue with the cable, it tells you the issue (open or short) and how far down the cable the issue occurs. It is also a tone generator. It works with Cat3, Cat5, Cat6, and coax and tests up to 1000 MHz. I won't go to a cabling job without this handy gadget. I got it from Amazon.com at a great price ... I received it quickly and without issue.

Pricey but it works great
This little unit is very pricey (as is all Fluke products) but it really works. Has a lot of features not found on cheaper models. I like the fact I can plug it into a live port and it won't blow up like others will. Even a live PoE port doesn't do anything to it as it will tell you that it's PoE and that's it. Don't lose your wiremap adapter (the thing that goes on top). If you lose it you have to buy another one since it needs both to work and that little plastic piece is over a hundred dollars by itself.

one of the best network testers on the market today
Easy to use and by far one of the best network testers on the market today. I purchased the MS2-100 to help make it easier to locate several shorts in a wireless network configuration that covers 25 acres. That without it could have taken weeks or months to trace out cable by cable with my old tester of having to find the end of one cable to place the test block on one end and the tester on the other to check the line. Then still would not have known was a short issue. As a regular cable tester generally does not indicate shorts, only split or crossed wires.I decided to purchase a new tester that had the capability to not only test multiple cables, but cables still being used connected directly to a distribution center. That also show what was wrong and the distance it was away from me. It not performed as designed and advertised. It cut my time down to 3 days to locate all the shorts and other issues within the network by having the footage away from the distribution center to help narrow down my starting point to look for the problem. Along with the additional information of knowing if there was a split or crosswire and/or high voltage in the line. Once all the PoE adapters that was added to the original configuration were removed, the high voltage issue and short they caused was resolved. I would have not been able to locate the problem without the measurement feature showing me the how far away each issue was from the testing point. I recommend this product to anyone in need to of troubleshooting networks. It will be your main tool used when diagnosing network issues.

Read what other customers are saying about a buyer before you buy.
I am not saying that all Fluke Products are duds. But this one from this buyer flakes out too many times. I have a less expensive Fluke Product that is always on point with decently charged batteries. But even with new batteries, this often does not give proper display readings at power on.

Fluke is fantastic
I bought one of the cheap ch1n3se ones. It lasted for a month. This is way better.

Great tester for a Network Engineers bag
Part of the problem network engineers have is running down lines from point a to b. The tonals this device has makes quick work of tracing cat6 near power lines. Punches through the buzz, tells you distance if there's nothing at the other end, and lets you know what it sees if there is. Also tests pairs and poe feed to boot. Have not used the RG6 connector for testing cable lines yet. Display is easy to read.
