Wonderful skillful table game

The first thing to say is that this game is very well made. The tiles are really made to last, as is the zippered storage bag.The game is very easy to learn, and my 7 year-old great-nephew loves it. The game seems simple and can certainly be played that way. However, there is the potential for more sophisticated strategy here that will appeal to adults who want something more challenging. Best played with 3 or 4, but can also be played with 2.I first played the game with a young couple visiting the US from Denmark. They had combined two games into one extra-large one and it made for a longer, more challenging game for adults. Not sure if the combined games were 2 this size, or 1 this size together with a smaller version, but I'm surprised the sellers haven't pointed out that you can do this.Have given this game as a gift several times and the recipients were delighted to receive a new game that they hadn't heard of. You're not likely to find it at a mall store or a big box store.

I originally bought Tantrix because I was looking for a game we could play at the picnic table on windy days. We were getting tired of Rummikub every time the wind made us put away all of our card games.This is a really fun game. The chips are very well made and the bag is compact and well made. I have a family of 3 that plays, and we are always disappointed when we are out of chips and the game ends. So I bought a second set to add to the first set. It has been years since I bought the first set, and I was a little worried that the new set would not match the old set exactly – but it does.Just so you know, adding 2 sets of this game together actually makes the game a little confusing and you have to spend a little more time checking every playable spot to very chip in your hand. But this does not deter us – just makes it a little more challenging play.There is a good instruction booklet included that shows many solitaire games to play also. They are very challenging to complete.I am happy with owning this game and would recommend it.

Great brain game, both solitaire portion and group game portion. You should be able to visualize geometric shapes in your mind to enjoy this game. Only negative is the zippered pouch is a bit small. Game pieces just fit. Would rate 5 star if pouch was 15% larger.

This is a very versatile set that permits playing several games and puzzles. The 10 minute "gooble" game is a very fun introduction that grabs most people that have tried it. The instructions for this game are only a couple of hundred words - 5 minutes reading and theyre playing like pros. I've played it with about a dozen people (no more than 6 at a time) and all of them have really enjoyed it. All of the people were high school age or above - the frantic pace might not appeal to younger kids.All of the people I played with progressed to the "real" tantrix game. It's intriguing, and takes 45+ minutes to play. Very enjoyable, but I have less experience with it just because of the time commitment.The puzzles are what sold me on this product in the first place - they can really fascinate puzzle workers. Actually, I'm not a puzzle fanatic, but these games still caught my interest. It's when working through the puzzles that I realized just how well designed this game is. There are only 56 tiles, but the design provides a wide range of fun puzzles and games. The only complaint I have is that it's so well designed that I think it would lose utility if you lost any of the 56 tiles. So you have to be careful.I endorse this game unreservedly for high school age through adult.

This "toy" is a blast. Start with three tiles, then four, then five...mastery builds with the completion of each set. It encourages thinking outside the box: symmetry may or may not be present. More tiles, more thinking, more possibilities. This is a game that is very hard to stop playing, hard to walk away from. Fun for all ages.I have two others that are similar, but this is the one to get. I didn't know it existed when I bought the ten-tile game. I mistakenly purchased another set; I don't recall if it was more or less than ten tiles. With this one, you get ALL "smaller" versions of the game encompassed in this one set. Fantastic!!

We purchased this game for our kids for Christmas, they are 10 and 11 years old. The game is very easy to learn, but it doesn't hold their interest. My husband and I like it better than they do.

Started playing this within the first day of giving as a gift. We've played both solo games, ages 8+ to adult and the family game, 10+. The kids enjoyed it and picked it up very quickly. The family game took a little longer to understand, but game was fun and relatively short (20 minutes) Friendly for both children and adults, I'm looking forward to trying an expansion pack soon for more puzzles. Nice storage bag and tiles Appear to be sturdy and well made, worth the cost for sure. Give it a try, your or puzzle lover will enjoy!
