125-A Air Needle Scaler with 1/8-Inch Stroke

Purchased this needle scaler about a year 8 months ago, not through Amazon but through another website. This needle scaler is a beast, I’m a heavy equipment welder and I use this to remove loose rust, remove paint in areas I can’t get into with a grinder, aswell as remove asphalt when working on paving equiptment but mostly I use it to remove slag once I’m done welding. I am not easy on this tool, constantly dropping it, kicking it, just tossing it off to the side out of my way, and dragging it by the air hose across the concrete shop floor, and it’s still running just as good as it was when new, haven’t even changed the spring or had any of the needles break yet. I recommend this scaler with 100% confidence that it will do whatever you need it to do 24/7 7 days a week. Only thing I do make sure to do before I use it every time is I put some PB blaster Air tool oil through it, before every use. Doesn’t matter if I’m only using it for 1 minute, I put air tool oil in it. These tools are not getting any cheaper so I try to take care of them where I can …. Works great, like all my other Ingersoll air tools. Beefy, built to take it. Amazingly quiet considering. Much better than some cheap chinese knockoff in my opinion. I'm 74, it's heavy but I can manage it just fine. If you are older, you might want to consider size and weight plus air hose.

Have been using one of these for a while now that came from Harbor Freight (my fathers tool). Decided to buy my own because I felt that the HF version didn't work that well and boy was I right. This tool blows the HF version out of the water! Works great for everything I throw at it. Ingersoll Rand never disappoints!

ok this is a big heavy straight gun. It does it's thing as expected, but lacking the smash I expected from IR. I ran it up to 120psi and still not as fast as my old scaler from the 90's. It really seems this company has gone overseas for production of most of their cheaper tools. Not sure if I would buy again. The knock offs have the same power now for half the price.
