For a disposable plate it's pretty substantial, much better than paper. Can be washed and reused - making them cost effective too. We used for a bbq cutting steak on and was great - cant do that with paper!Also if not greasy can be recycled in garden waste, bonus

These really are strong disposable plates, no folding in the middle, but they do smell quite strongly, not unpleasant but I always leave some out in the fresh air before using them.

These are really tiny. I'm sure they may measure 6" but they're way smaller than I'd anticipated.
