For the most part this works for what I needed it for. The rod did go limp a few times and that was kinda annoying but it worked. I do wish it had a longer part so that I can make a bigger skein.

Winds my yarn up just the way I need it, was really simple and quick to use so overall, really user friendly. Another thing is that it’s relatively easy to store due to its small, comfortable size.

I have been winding my yarn by hand. This winder saves me a lot of time and the ball is neater.

While it is cheap and works okay mine came bent and it makes a ton of noise.

It was easy to asemble, but it is kind of cheap, and preforms as such. It does the job, but not great. It is good for it's price, but probably should have gotten something diffrent or better.

This is a good tool, however, the metal rod that keeps the yarn in the same position will not stay in place for long - the mechanism is too flimsy. It can still be used successfully with a little care. I don’t expect it to last too long. A wooden one is both sturdier and prettier. However, this one is at a pretty good price.

I "harvest" yarn from thrift store sweaters. I used to make center-pull balls on my thumb, but when I saw this reasonably priced yarn winder, I figured it was worth buying it to speed up the process. The thread guide falls down a lot, but on the whole it works quite well. Although I have a swift, when I'm unraveling a sweater, it makes more sense to go directly from sweater piece to yarn winder, and I simply control the tension by hand so the yarn doesn't get stretched out. The hand crank works easily and smoothly. I don't see any reason to go for high-end winders (unless maybe for yarn shops if they need to wind balls much faster), and I highly recommend this one.

This item creates pretty balls of yarn, however, the metal hook on the side for the yarn to hook into, doesn't always stay in place, and keeps coming loose when I try to wrap the yarn... Other than that, and constantly having to stop and fix it, it isn't too bad for the cost, I guess. I wish I'd spent a little bit more and got a sturdier, better quality winder though.

Makes life so much easier to wind up all your left over wool.Great tool!!

Ich bin sehr unzufrieden mir diese Maschine! Man investiert lieber ein paar Euro mehr und bestellt was anständiges!!!Optisch: Die Maschine sieht sehr alt aus, die Farbe ist vergielbt...Mein Esstisch, die Essecke und der Couchtisch sind zu breit so dass ich die Maschine nicht daran fixieren kann, also muss ich ein Buch nehmen.Diese Metal-Fixation geht immer wieder los und fällt um, so dass der Faden sich dann unter der Spule verhädert!Ich empfehle diese Maschine also absolut nicht

The package came quick… but that’s the only good thing about it. I loved this when I was balling up my yarn, but I swear every other stitch, I come across a knot in the ball. In the image I attached is the biggest knot I have ever seen! I had to yank all that yarn out just to get the whole knot out. DO KNOT BUY THIS!!!
