0000 USED PROFESSIONALLY ON GUITARS TO POLISH FRETS & REMOVE FRETBOARD GUNK
A consistent weave steel wool. Doesn't last as long as some more expensive 0000 wools I've used, but it works well enough for the money.

Clean Chrome
Works great for cleaning chrome without leaving scratches. I use with WD40. Hold up well and does not tear up my hands.

NAVY MAN
As someone who has used Homax 10120000 Steel Wool since my days in the Navy, I can confidently say this product has never failed me in over 30 years. Whether cleaning brass or achieving a smooth final finish on various surfaces, these Grade #0000 steel wool pads are a reliable and versatile tool. The ultra-fine texture makes them perfect for delicate polishing, buffing, or removing small imperfections without scratching the surface. The pads are durable and long-lasting, making them an excellent value for any cleaning or finishing job. Over the decades, they have maintained their high quality, and I’ve never found a better alternative for achieving that perfect final finish. Rating: 5/5 Stars For over 30 years, this product has been my go-to for polishing brass and other surfaces. If you need consistent, high-quality steel wool, look no further—this is the best you can get!

Great for Finishing Touches, but Pads Could Be More Durable
I've used Rhodes American Grade #0000 steel wool for several woodworking and metal polishing projects, and overall, it's a great product. The ultra-fine grade makes it perfect for applying wax finishes, buffing out minor imperfections, and giving that final smooth polish to wood and metal surfaces. It really brings out a professional-looking finish without scratching or damaging delicate materials. The 12-pad pack is convenient, and the pads are easy to tear into smaller pieces when needed. I especially like using it between coats of polyurethane or when cleaning antique hardware. My only complaint—and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5—is that the pads wear down pretty quickly, especially if you're using them on larger surfaces or tougher materials. They also tend to shed a bit, which means cleanup can be a little annoying. Still, for finer detail work and light finishing jobs, they do an excellent job. Definitely a solid addition to any toolbox—just keep in mind they’re best for precision and final-stage work rather than heavy-duty scrubbing.

This grade is the best for polishing metals
#0000 steel wool works great for refinishing metals, light rust removal and surface prepping. You can make aluminum items look new, restore old kitchen utensils, and even add luster to household hardware. Before you resort to nasty chemical cleaners, try a pad of #0000 on your antique treasures.

Great, but wear thick gloves when handling
Wear gloves while using! It was easy to cut and shape into the size that I wanted. The wire will cut you or splinter into your skin very easily. We used this with weep hole covers to keep rodents out, works great together!

Hard to find in stores. Used to remove cooked on food on a ceramic top stove. Gently removed with no scratches. Good product.

The image speaks for itself. There was a patch on the crash bar that cannot be removed with normal polish or even micro abrasive chrome polish. Only took me 30 sec to remove it with this steel wool and without scratches.
