The Tibet GTX is built to handle virtually anything a hardcore backpacker or hunter can throw at a boot over hundreds of miles of rugged, off-trail terrain. Handcrafted in Germany, the Tibet GTX features premium nubuck leather uppers, a durably waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX lasted lining plus an injected PU midsole and a full-length stabilizer to provide the long-lasting underfoot support that’s critical when you’re carrying a 50+ lb pack. Add details such as a rugged VIBRAM outsole, a LOWA C-4 tongue that's strategically padded and contoured to wrap the instep in comfort, a special ankle flex design for easy walking, a no-slippage lacing system and a full-length rubber rand to protect against the gnarliest terrain, and it's easy to understand why the Tibet GTX has become the go-to mountain boot for backpackers and hunters alike. For close to 90 years, LOWA boots have been acclaimed by climbers, mountaineers and hikers as the finest outdoor boots in the world. Every LOWA boot is handcrafted in Europe, where they incorporate the elements of thoughtful design, superb materials, clean manufacturing processes and fair labor standards. Couldn't be more pleased!!!
This boot was broke in within after my first hike which I split between them and my Renegades. I love the ankle coverage and support on steep declines. The easy rolling ball-bearing lacing hooks are really nice, but its the 4th locking hook that I love. It allows you to set the foot bed laces where your want them, then move to set the ankle how you want it. I have a narrow foot and ankle but boots cutting into the top of my foot has always been an issue for me. There is no sliding out of the heal pocket into the toe and the ankle support gives me the confidence I was looking for on steep declines. The shank and ankle support is substantial but the boot still has good flex at the ankle for climbing. No cutting into the Achilles tendon even though they are tall, as they are specifically designed for a women's Achilles. This boot is on the heavier side which I knew going in and I considered the Gavia's but the weight has not been a problem for me. I couldn't be more pleased with this boot!

Perfect
I needed a waterproof, warm boot for fall hiking and winter trekking. While I hesitated on these due to the price, they have really met everything I wanted in a boot. They provide great support. The toe box is very comfortable. I love the locking 4th lacing hook! I can lace the tightness I want across the top of my foot and then lace the rest up at a different tension. Amazing! I also really like the lacing positioner in the middle of the tongue. I feel very secure climbing up wet rocks and down steep inclines. I decided to break mine in on an 8-mile trek and had absolutely no problems of any kind.

No, No, No
I’ve been hiking for 50 years.I also work in boots daily. Therefore, I know a good boot. They should never hurt.I wore these on a 10 mile ruck with a 20# pack. I had to take these boots off at mile 3 and go barefoot through mile 7.5. Going barefoot was better than enduring the pain. I put them back on at mile 7.5 and honestly wasn’t sure I was going to make it out of the woods because of the pain.I have never experienced this pain with a boot. Not worth the risk for serious hiking or rucking. Honestly a safety concern.

Great just not color as described
I love these hiking boots. I am an ankle roller and needed the extra support with my trekking pack. These are great and do not rub anywhere. Only thing I would say is product described the color as dark grey/navy but they are definitely black and brown. No grey or navy at all. Color was not the issue for me, it is comfort and support and these boots have both.

Balance of my body and fit to the feet.
Unreal! I couldn't believe that I could actually buy a boot that would fit me right out of the box. I didn't even have to break them in. I use them to help balance my body as I use my trekking poles. Imagine a boot that can help straighten your stride out!. I'm in love with them. Thanks so much.Alexsandra RokasUnited States

The most comfortable boot I've ever owned!
They are the most comfortable boot I've ever owned. In August I will be really testing them out in the mountains of Colorado bow hunting Elk.
