LEGO Hero Factory FANGZ 2233

I bought my 5 year old son's first Lego Hero Factory for him with reservations because I thought I would have to be the one to put it together for him and I didn't want a bunch of little parts laying around when he lost interest. When I saw how easy it was for him to put together we've continued to add to his collection and I've bought them to have on hand for rewards, birthday presents, for friends, etc. He now makes them himself and has had fun altering them with each other's parts. They are very rewarding educational toys. The prices are very reasonable as well.

Pros:+Easy to build+Looks awesome when complete+Durable (I've dropped it down some stairs on accident and it survived the fall without anything coming off.)Cons:-Looks a bit bare once it's done. Seems like there aren't enough armor pieces covering the "skeleton."-The two soft spears that are coming out of its...chin, look completely out of place.

I bought this thing for myself, because I love LEGO & it's a quick assembly job that looks great finished. As for the educational value...? I guess if we go to war with robotic rat creatures kids can dissect the toy and study it. The only gripe would be the nub of a tail and pointy little spears running along the rat's face. LEGO could have added a few more pieces for a segmented tail, but the ridges on the back look awesome. I'd get this for any child above the age of 8 (unless they are a little impatient then 10).

I got this as a Christmas Present for my 7 year old cousin and he loved it!!! It was his first lego set and he insisted on finishing it as soon as he opened it. It was a perfect fit for him. Not too hard and not too easy. It's not as expensive as other larger lego sets, but just as exciting to a 7 year old. This would be a great gift for a grade-school boy.

Overvalued Lego sets

I have no idea LEGO Heroes is all about, but our 8-year-old grandson was very pleased with his birthday gift.

I will never order from this seller again. I spent hours of my life on the phone trying to get this item and after being promised the item they said 5 days before Christmas that because it was not sold by amazon I was out of luck. Nice.

Hero Factory! That is an addition my son has. He could play with these things all day if allowed. This is one of his favorites. The spikes have an appeal. He is creepy/cool.
