After Shave Balm - Oatmeal & Green Tea - Nourishing & Gentle Formula After Shave Cream for Sensitive Skin - Premium Italian Shaving for Men - 3.4oz

As this Amazon listing sells both the liquid and the cream Proraso aftershave, I want to note that my review pertains to the cream which is their "sensitive skin" formula. Over the years I have used various after shave creams and lotions, primarily for the purpose of reducing razor burn (and, to a lesser extent, to prevent dry skin.) Some products have been better than others, but none that I have used worked as well as this Proraso does. I've been using this aftershave cream exclusively for the better part of two years and will continue using this. Not only am I delighted with how well this aftershave works, but I am blown away by how FAST it works! One issue I had with some aftershaves was that they clogged pores, and this generally causes me to have an acne breakout. The Proraso does not cause me acne in the least, and so I feel this product does not clog pores up. Additionally, it does not have even the slightest bit of that "sticky" feeling that some aftershaves have in which you can feel it on your face for hours after application. In addition to not being sticky, the scent is also a home-run: it is a minor-but-pleasing scent with a more masculine fragrance (but without being overpowering.) The formulation that they use for their aftershave cream is both very effective and very fast-acting. The oatmeal extract in this must be a really effective moisturizing ingredient because, like some Aveeno & Eucerin products I have used that also contain oatmeal, this gives some serious moisturizing effects & instant relief from discomfort. I also think the green tea extract may help here too. Green tea is a pretty strong anti-inflammatory and razor burn is technically inflammation; Proraso is very fast to calm razor burn and visibly reduce irritation, and so I feel the green tea probably plays a role with how fast-acting this aftershave is. I also like how Proraso makes it clear that their aftershave does not have silicone, mineral oil, or dyes in it, and this is because I find those ingredients can often irritate my skin. As for the price, this is one of the more expensive aftershaves I have purchased. You can find aftershaves at a grocery store for 1/5th the price, so this Proraso is anything but cheap. However, this is awesomely good aftershave. I do not mind paying the price one bit given how well this works. Razor burn is wickedly uncomfortable and Proraso's aftershave cream works faster and more effectively than other products I have used. So overall, I highly recommend this. If you are considering this as a gift, I think it is a great choice because this is one of those products that almost everyone falls in love with after they use it. The box is presentable, the scent is mild, pleasant, and masculine, and the large majority of people who use this will fall in love with it's speed and effectiveness. Proraso also makes shaving cream that is another fantastic product. I have given the shave cream & aftershave cream together as a gift on a few occasions and the people I gave them to absolutely loved it. So I figured I'd throw that out there in the event you ever needed a cool gift.

It's an offering from Proraso, so it knocks it out of the park! I recommend pairing this when layering fragrances. It has a pleasant fragrance, which does not linger. This makes it work well when you mix-and-match soaps, aftershaves, and/or colognes. An example: I love using this formula with Proraso menthol and eucalyptus shaving soap. However, if you use the sandalwood, it also works if you're out of the matching post-shave lotion. All around this is a fantastic aftershave balm. It is soothing, and helps revive your freshly shaved face and/or head. There's lots of boutique offerings out there, and a lot of them are great. Here's a cost-effective, high-quality alternative from a long established, quality brand. So skip the fancy "skin food", and slather on a little of this Old World charm!

Like all the Proraso products I've bought, this one is top quality. The balm is totally absorbed and leaves no greasy feel. Very light scent, almost none . No alcohol so won't dry skin .

Would recommend against all competitors I've tried. The good news is that this works perfectly. Razor burn? Not now. And a very little goes a very LONG way. The bad news is that "unscented" does not mean no smell. This is true for every product, so I'm not picking on this one. This stuff does not smell good. It is not awful, but it is verging on unpleasant. However, the smell goes away within a minute. My wife says she smells nothing, so that is good news. And it is centimeters from my nose. I would prefer some mild scent to unscented, but I won't leave this product because it works so well. I might put just a tiny bit of cologne (Cucinelli since this is Italian) in the bottle and mix it up, now that I think about it! If it works, I will report back.

As I've gotten older, my facial skin often has red and dark spots and callus type stops on my forehead. My dermatologist prescribes various ointments which have a marginal impact. This cream, however, eliminates all of the skin disorders and greatly improves my complexion. I know it's not advertised for this treatment, but it works.

I got this as a gift and he loves it! He says its moisturizing and feels soothing on the skin after shaving. I noticed that when using his old aftershave he would get more razor bumps and ingrown hairs. I think this was because he has dry skin, so those with dry skin may enjoy this one as it seems to help prevent both razor bumps and ingrowns! Definitely recommend! It also smells nice. :)

Good scent, works great as-well

This after shave balm is better than skin medication. I was hesitant about this product until I used it and discovered how effective it is. My skin feels relax and relief after every shave. This is a wonderful balm.

Great if you have sensitive neck. Could be cheaper imo, wish they had bigger bottles of it.

Crema post barba della Proraso dalla gradevolissima profumazione al tè verde. Oltre a prevenire le irritazioni e ad idratare la pelle stressata dalla rasatura è a mio parere molto indicata per l'estate per via della sua profumazione. Se ben dosata, lascia la pelle morbida e si assorbe senza lasciare residui. Passato da poco al wet shaving trovo la pelle molto più morbida e con molte meno irritazioni soprattutto sul collo. Consigliatissimo per neofiti e non. Ovviamente grandiosa Amazon, ordinato alle 17.00 arrivato a casa alle 16.00 del giorno dopo, senza parole. APPLAUSI!
