After extensive research, I bought this stool since it seems to be the best alternative to the very expensive Bambach or HAG Capisco saddle stools. Other reviewers had mentioned that the casters don't roll very well. I had thought that I would manage with them but after trying them out, I promptly removed them and ordered top-of-the-line ones (size M10 x 15mm) with a rubber tread for my linoleum floor. Although the stool rolls more easily now, it's still not as good as my old office chair and I don't know why!! I'm only 5'3" but I found the stool wasn't quite high enough for me so I got 3" (75mm) casters - much better!I also wish the stool could be tilted forwards! Since I keep it tilted as far forward as possible, the back rest hits my back at a very bad angle so I leave it as far down as it will go. At least it provides a bit of support at my lower back if I want.Although it's not perfect, it does promote good posture and banish back pain. I use this in combination with my electric sit-stand desk and it completes my ergonomic set-up. I don't regret this purchase at all!UPDATE: April 26, 2014 - Just wanted to tell everyone that this chair only gets BETTER!! It's the only one I sit in now (never use back rest). Just love it! You'll probably want to get better casters like I did, though. :)

I am a hygienist and have been using this chair for about a month now and I love it! It allows me to work closer to my patient while maintaining proper positioning. My back feels so much better at the end of the day since using this saddle. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to the wheels, as I wish they allowed a smoother glide as I am constantly moving around my patient. Overall, great chair!

I so want to give this chair a 5 star rating. It arrived quickly. Easy to assemble. Comfortable... But the Casters are awful. They leave marks all over the floor, they don't roll well at all. I want to use this chair but it stresses me out that I think I'm damaging the floor the entire time I'm using it. I use it at my dental office. Purchased on my own without boss's previous knowledge. Every time he has to move the chair the wheels stick and it has to be dragged away awkwardly so he can examine my pt. I can see him cringing every time he has to handle it which gen makes me frustrated etc. I have searched high and low for rubber replacement casters but have only been able to find comparatively cheap and poor quality casters as a replacement.

I love this chair, as I have had back surgery and it gives me the sitting position that I need. THE ONLY ISSUE I had after only a few months of use, was that a few of the spot welds underneath the metal base of the castors broke and I had to pay $50 to have it 'rewelded'. So other than the weak base, it has been great! I have had it for over a year now, and it is the best ergonomic chair for me in the dental hygiene profession. I also replaced the cheapy plastic wheels with the heavy duty metal kind due to personal preference. I would order from this company again due to the low cost of this chair compared to some of the other high end expensive ones.

I loved that this chair has helped me practice dental hygiene ergonomically but it doesnt roll very well and now one of the wheels is broken. I have had the product since Jan 2016 so this is disappointing.

I bought this chair to alleviate hip and low back pain. When I received the item it was easy to put together and at first everything seemed fine. After sitting on it for a bit I was uncomfortable. It helped alleviate some of the hip pain but I still had issues. I am a petite person (5'0") and the saddle was a bit too wide for me so it was putting to much pressure on my hamstrings and the seat cushion itself was too stiff. The seat back was pretty much pointless as well. The product and materials seemed a little bit cheap.When I decided that I needed to return it I had a rough time just getting the chair apart. I could not get the center piece out of the wheel base and it ended up taking 2 guys to get the thing apart. I had to return it in the same box it came in so I had to disassemble it completely to ship it back. Also, since this is a 3rd party company, the return was expensive. The 3rd party company did not offer free return shipping which I was unaware of so it cost me $80 to ship back. Luckily Amazon is a wonderful company and helped me with this. I will always be a loyal amazon customer but leary of 3rd party return policies!When the return package was received by the seller they notified me that a part was damaged in the return so I wouldn't be getting the full refund. Seems as though the seller is not great to work with so be sure of your purchase before ordering!

I like this chair very much. I was concerned about comments that the seat doesn't really tilt forward (it doesn't, indeed) but it's not needed - the angle is good. I was also concerned about the distance between legs being too wide, ad it is on my husband's sadle chair - but in this chair the distance between legs is very comfortable for me (5'3" female).The assembling was very easy, and it looks very pretty.It's also very convenient that you can set the back height.

I am a dentist. My patients want me to keep my costs down but at the same time vendors jack up their prices for the goods and materials I buy because they are medical related. I am happy to say a very similar if not identical chair is sold by a dental company as a doctor's chair for $350. This chair is quality and comfortable and is half the cost -- I bought several of them and recommend them highly for Dentists, Physicians, Hygienists and yes -- hair stylists too -- I am really happy that I found such a quality chair for a great price.
