A diamond in the rough
This is the keyboard that nobody wants to tell anyone about because it is sooooo good for the price. Id put this up with Logitech MX keyboards but with better weight. It feels so smooth and satisfying to use. This is NOT a clicky keyboard it is very quiet and the key activation feels smooth and deliberate. I appreciate the somewhat hybrid key design where they aren't chiclet style keys and not a mechanical but lies somewhere in between. By the way, I am not a keyboard snob so pardon me if I use incorrect terms. My review is based solely on my feelings and me doing my best to describe my experience. The weight of the keyboard is fantastic! I didn't think it would matter much but it does. It stays planted even when bumped by a book or cup so once you find the sweetspot on your desk it will stay there. The only thing I am wanting is a small palm rest. Not for comfort but because I am used to it so when I put my hand up there my fingers land on the top row instead of the middle/home row. A palm rest would put my fingers back but I think it could get used to not having one. The keyboard doesnt need one to feel comfortable but with the lower profile my fingers tend to naturally over reach. Again this is mostly a learning curve and cherry does make the Palmrest Ergo that would work but its more than this keyboard needs. Overall this is a great keyboard. Very well made. I dont see it wearing down quickly or anything like that. It feels like it would last 10 years and I am sure it would!

High-quality keyboard
I'd never heard of the company Cherry before, but it was one of the one's recommended in my research in finding a new keyboard for work. I've gotta say, this looks like your typical standard computer keyboard, but it is far and above better in design, feel, and performance (Cherry is a German company so the high standards of German engineering have been applied here). The marketing touts the Stream as 'whisper quiet,' which it is not. The best way I can describe the Stream is that the keys have the tactile feel of a high-end laptop with the extended real estate of a full-size keyboard. It's not as loud as the 'clicky-clacky' keyboards of early computers but it's not as quiet as a flat keypad either; it's somewhere in-between. The keys have an elegant snap to them and I find my fingers flying as I type which makes it fun to use. The layout is also well thought out with extra hot keys in the upper right-hand corner plus slightly larger than normal 'CTRL' keys on the ends making it less likely to hit other keys by mistake when using the 'CTRL' key for short-cut commands. The unit itself also has a high quality feel to it compared to cheaper models which feel more like plastic toys than serious office tools. Some things to consider is that this unit is not wireless (I needed a wired USB-A for my old work computer) nor does it have an illuminated keyboard. So if those are qualities important to you then this is not the model for you. But if you're looking for a solid, basic, full-size wired keyboard that is built like a tank and performs like a workhorse, then this model is worth your consideration.

If you loved logitech flat ultrax, you'll love this
Now that I've bought a second one as a "backup" I can share this; was reluctant before to make sure people dont buy them out. ;-) If you are like me, who absolutely loved logitech flat ultrax, and wept when they stopped making those... Yes, this is the next version of those. Yes the keys feel great. It's a bit closer to the second model of ultrax (a bit more force needed to press the button - initially), but I'm sure with time I'll wear those down a bit and make them work like ultrax v1. ;-) As a flat ultrax lover, I never found a better keyboard, until now. Not only we get a TKL version, but this boy is so thin, and quiet... And has the perfect weight. A bit heavier than ultrax I believe, does not feel like a flimsy $10 keyboard. I've tried numerous mechanical low-profile keyboards and they all had something that just didn't feel right. Either the key travel or the actuation force never clicked (ha ha) with me. Cherry Stream feels like typing on those old IBM/Lenovo keyboards, where the designer paid more attention to the typing comfort than how they looked (not saying they looked bad, though). I stashed around 8-10 other keyboards after getting this one, just because the typing comfort tops them all easily. If you're thinking I've said the same thing too many times, you're right, but that's just because I love typing on this keyboard, it's simply a pleasure. I could produce more clone/nonsense sentences, just to enjoy the experience of typing on this GOOD BOY. I love that keyboard. I hope they never stop making them. Personally I believe no other keyboard comes close to how right they got the feel on this one. Thank you so much. IMPORTANT EDIT: this is NOT a gaming keyboard, though. it registers up to three keys pressed at the same time, but if you need 4+ more, it just wont work. Best typing keyboard, not necessarily the best gaming keyboard, depending on your game.

Nice Solid Keyboard
I researched a lot of keyboards before I choose this one. I wanted something wired, low-profile and relatively quiet but with some sort of tactile experience. I would say this fits the bill. The quality is nice. The keyboard has weight to it and it feels well made. Check the video for how the keys sound. I think they are very pleasant to type on. They make little bit of noise but they are not loud. I didn’t want some flashy keyboard so I like the discreet black design. Setup was easy - just plugged it in and it worked great. I’ve had no issues. I have rated it 4 stars because I can’t say it’s the perfect keyboard. I have had to get used to it and I think there is something about the layout or size that hurt my left hand for a bit. I am used to it now and I do enjoy using this keyboard. I think it’s great for the price. But someday I will try other keyboards for sure.

Fabulous!
Perfect for limited space and those who don't need a seperate numerical keypad enough to justify them taking up extra berth on desk. Centerfield never aligned well with monitor which determined the following layout of components. Experimenting with several configurations, 10 keyless, including swap out key style compact game keyboards that click and are too tall, to ergonomic wave shaped and ordinary rectangular shapes, nothing yet had worked or fit comfortably on desk. Cherry Stream keyboard answered with their amazing layout and dimensions. Keys really are phenomenal! Perfect size, indent for fingertip allowing faster travel and smoother typing. Overall solid, unlike standard QWERTY keyboards that bend or flex. Cherry has an elegant professional feel about it. Corners are rounded, proportionally pleasing to the eye and the Modern white color tone is calm not Titanium sharp. By far the best keyboard I've ever used at home or in jobs where zero personal peripherals drives et al were allowed in employee workspaces, you had to use their equipment. Consider the dimensions; Cherry is a bit deeper front to back with narrower width. Quality is far above average, more than I expected, it's a super bargain for a such well made keyboard. Buy one now before Amazon runs out because I want to order another soon.

Rare truly TKL keyboard, no missing special keys.
The reason I bought this product only months after buying a similar TKL keyboard is this keyboard is truly full-size-keyboard minus the right-side number key set only. I found most compact TKL keyboards, including the one I bought before this Cherry keyboard, do not have all the keys that are usually placed above the arrow key set in the full-size keyboard. On the full-size keyboard there are nine special keys (such as insert, home, page-up page-down, etc.) above the four arrow keys. But most compact TKL keyboards miss some of the nine. My previous purchase does not have the insert key etc which I needed occasionally with some applications. That is why I bought this keyboard. This keyboard is full-size keyboard minus the right-side number key set plus 6 function keys (the small 6 keys in the top row). Moreover, the locations of the arrow keys and the above mentioned 9 special keys are the same as on the full-size keyboard's. So it is easier to type them than with most compact TKL keyboards. The touch of the keys are good and stable. The size and weight of the keyboard are a little more than the very compact TLK keyboards, but it is not a big problem for me.

Who knew keyboards could be this nice?
I purchased one of these keyboards to replace my wife's keyboard and wow was I shocked when I received it. It came in a typical sized keyboard box, but it felt really heavy which confused me since most keyboards weigh nothing. Then I opened it and I had to look at the order details to make sure I received the correct order. This is a really, really nice keyboard. It's quality is off the charts. Very smooth, quiet action. A perfect blend between low and standard profile keys. The keyboard is rigid, heavy, stays planted and overall is just a fantastic keyboard. I immediately ordered another one for my office and it's been amazing. The volume, play, and calculator keys are a great bonus. Excellent buy.

Very high quality and significantly lower in price. Love the Scissors Mechanism
Update November 2024: I have been using this keyboard since January 2023 and it has been working great. It is still going strong after all this time. Like the other reviewers who mentioned that their keys stick or fail, similar experience happened to me UNTIL I thoroughly cleaned my keyboard of debris, especially under each key. When I regularly clean my keyboard, the issues of keys sticking is completely eliminated. My keyboard has not failed again due to me cleaning it often. The Cherry Stream Keyboard is AWESOME! I have been looking for high quality keyboards for quite a while now since my favorite keyboard from Logitech is discontinued. I loved the Logitech K740 Illuminated Keyboards since 2010 and gone through several since then. Logitech not only discontinued this line of keyboards but the quality has significantly declined since I bought my first one back in 2010. I no longer trust the quality of their keyboards and will only buy their mice. My fingers are quite small and most keyboards are not touch sensitive enough for me. Many need quite a lot of pressure or "pounding" of fingers to register letters on my monitor. Eventually, my wrists and fingers would ache since I type A LOT for both working at home and for personal use. This keyboard ROCKS! This is the best keyboard I have ever used since my first Logitech K740 Illuminated Keyboard back in 2010. This keyboard is super high quality and very solid. It has wonderful weight to it and the price is awesome. The high quality in this Cherry Stream Keyboard used to be there for Logitech ones before they lost their way and now their keyboards maybe last 1-2 years and double the price of this keyboard. The price is so good for the quality! I might buy 2 more to keep around when I wear out the one I am using. I just hope that the quality continues to remain high. Now I am wondering if Cherry makes mice as well. If they are high quality as this keyboard, I would definitely switch to buying mice from them too! As for "Spill Proof" or "Spill Resistant", I have not tested to see if this is the case and do not know how that works with this keyboard. I just wonder if the keys are engineered to be moisture proof? As of now, I am really happy to have researched and come across this this keyboard. I highly recommend for anyone who types fast and often like myself because it is saving my wrists and fingers.....
