For the price and with minor improvements this tent can't be beat
Used camping in Florida and I use this as lightweight tent for a low-cost for me and my significant other. I'm 6' 2.5" 165 lbs and shes 5' 7.5" 125 lbs and our dog is 22.5 lbs and we all fit inside this tent with some room to spare at the ends for gear inside the tent (note when I say gear I'm talking about two pairs of boots and gear that can 100% fit it two 50 liter backpacks and a 20 liter backpack and this is a relatively tight fit and my feet do end up between some of the gear but my significant others feet do not)So basically this is an A-frame tent (also known as a pup tent or a shelter-half tent) with a rip-stop polyethylene tub-style floor (same material as a blue tarp you'd find at any home improvement store) and the sides/top is a polyurethane coated polyester taffeta (one of the two standard tent materials, the other being nylon, I prefer polyurethane because nylon droops when wet and then you have to go adjust it to make the tent taut again [when nylon absorbs water it expands up to 3.5% or up to 2% for nylon 6]). When setting up this tent do not pull to hard on the side loops as this will cause sagging in the middle of top of the tent the top points of the two poles should be pulled taut to keep the A-frame look through the tent and prevent any pools of water on the top of the tent.Note for the price this tent is not going to be top of the line, but with a few improvements, modifications, and replacements you can make a great lightweight pack-able two person tent for the price. This tent will get hot in Florida weather and in summer weather in northern states if you don't have the window vent and door vents open, but I bought the W-UpBird 10 x 10 FT Lightweight Waterproof RipStop Rain Fly Hammock Tarp Cover Tent Shelter for Camping Outdoor Travel above the tent and left both the window and door vents open and it was fine. I closed the mosquito net obviously! Additionally, I'd imagine if you did not leave window and door vents open you'd likely cause a condensation build up in the tent, but I've never tested this. Note by using the rainfly you'd also reduce the hotness of being in a tent by providing shade when under sunlight.I bought the Texsport Waterproof Seam Sealer for Tents Backpacks and Outerwear Repair and used it on this product not only on the seams but also on the sides/top as per the directions of the spray, it's Texsport's tent and spray so I assume they know best (note that seam sealing should be done on all tents even new ones and must be repeated as necessary depending on use to ensure water resistance).I bought the Duck Brand 282450 Indoor Extra Large Window/Patio Door Shrink Film Kit, 84-Inch x 120-Inch and used this as a light-weight pack-able ground cover after I cut it to size with scissors. This ground tarp won't last forever but its inexpensive, packs small, easily replaceable, and you should always use a ground tarp to extend the life of your tent floor aka your tent itself.I bought the Kungix Tent Stakes Pegs 7" Aluminium Alloy with Reflective Rope 10-Piece (Golden) to replace the cheap aluminum stakes that came with the tent.I bought 50 feet of 2mm Z-Line Dyneema® Cord from ZPacks website to replace the cheap cord that came with the tent (something less expensive can probably be found on Amazon, but I'm not sure what/where. A lot of people like to use 550 paracord, but as its nylon and can shrink/expand with water [when nylon absorbs water it expands up to 3.5% or up to 2% for nylon 6] and can cause drooping you should go adjust, thus I prefer to use a polyethylene based cord. Whatever cord you get you'll want to make sure if its sheathed that the sheath is tight otherwise it will be a pain to use when tying and untying knots). I do not use any guyline adjusters or anything like that, instead I simply use an appropriate knot (a tautline hitch knot is a good one, just google how to tie it). Don't forget to burn the ends of your cord after you cut it to size. The tent poles that came with this tent are divided into 3 pieces each for a total of 6 pieces. These poles are cheap, but I've yet to replace them and they are holding up okay so far.Additionally, if you don't care about camo the green version of this tent by Texsport is often slightly less expensive than this one Texsport Willowbend 2 Person Backpacking Camping Trail Tent

great for a bug out tent
Should I ever need to flee from civilization and sleep in the woods while remaining camouflaged this will be the perfect tent. Its light and should be able to fit in my BoB without too much trouble (it is kinda full already lol). Im not taking any chances and will be getting some waterproofing spray before putting this tent in my pack. Not that it doesnt look waterproof (especially the tarplike floor) or anything but why risk it? Its long enough for my 6'4" 275lb behind to lay down in with my toes pointed (like they would be in a sleeping bag) and still have 3 or 4 inches before I hit the wall. I am also pretty claustrophobic but in this tent I dont feel cramped or trapped. Now I didnt put my pack in there with me but as long as my pack is at my feet and my head is at the door end I'll be fine. I can also sit up (if I slouch) inside as long as the side guy wires arent too tight and the top peak is still straight not bowed like in the stock picture. Now for the reason its only a 4 star rating...First the poles dont click together or anything they stay together via gravity only so dont grab the top portion of the pole or you'll lose the bottom 2 and have to stop and put them all together again then feed the pointy end through the grommet and grab the bottom portion of the pole and hold the point and grommet together and raise the pole... then while holding that top portion (so it doesnt fall over) attach your guy wire to the pointy part of the pole protruding through the grommet. Not impossible but how much easier would it be if they clicked and locked together? But hey If it hurts my feelings too much I can go get a stick instead ... which is the reason I got this style of tent... simplicity.Secondly, there's no way to open or close the rear window from inside so if you want it open or closed pick one before going to bed.Third, the front camo flaps dont zip closed they tie. Im not sure if anyone else has a problem with that or if its just me but it seems like they could have done something a little more secure. Like have the screen portion outside the camo portion and have an internal zipper that allows you to unzip the camo inside and tie it to the inside so you can look out and still be screened from bugs. Just an observation though... kinda like a "nice to have" feature I guess.Lastly I know texsport is based in TX but I have to ask if they arent hiring illegals to sew these things together. Ive got hanging threads everywhere inside and outside my tent. For instance when you are using a sewing machine and you reach the end of your stitch you should stop and back up an inch or so to anchor your line. They dont do that here. They apparently reached the end of their stitch lifted up the needle and fed the fabric back through about 2" and put in a few extra stitches. Leaving me with a good line, a 2" loop of hanging thread, and a few stitches to tie it down... Horrible workmanship. Hell the top of the bag for the tent has the same thing except it jumps from the central zipper to the side stitch leaving 2" of thread between them just kinda hangin out. Disgraceful. But all in all its still a great tent and I would definately buy it again.update 3/15: bought another one for my other BoB and the zippers were wavy (indicative of them being too long or sewed improperly) when the screen is pulled tight. Like others have said this is a cheap lightweight tent for a 1 night stay in an area when there is no weather. I could honestly make a better shelter out of it by draping it over some logs I cut down with my pocket chainsaw and stacked into a lean-to but hey what do you want for 30 bucks?
