Really. When they find out you've got metal collar stays, you somehow instantly become classier. As for how they work, the width is right, and 2.5" will fit most shirts. It's a little long if you're using it for more trendy shirts, the type not normally worth with ties, but for dress shirts for work 2.5" is ideal. They're a lot better looking in shirts, I think, than plastic stays. There's no flex, and they don't get curved over time. The one drawback is they're not perfectly machined on the sides, slightly rougher than they'd be if you bought similar ones at BB (but then again, they're half the price or less). Absolutely worthwhile, and a good investment/stocking stuffer/sartorial decision.

The metal stainless collar fits nicely on most of my shirts. As expected, it will keep my collars looking new. Since it's metal, I'll use a magnet underneath my shirt to keep the collars flat on the neck. I made the mistake of choosing only 1 size. Apparently, I have new shirts which require a smaller size. Since there are 24 pieces, I really did not need that many of the same size. I suggest that Sharkk allow the buyer to choose the number of collar pieces by size. There is the option to choose equal 4 sets. However, if the buyer only wants 2 or 3 of the sets with uneven numbers, that option is not available. On the other hand, since it's really cheap, I can always buy another set of the smaller size or the one with 4 sets.

The Shark 2.25" stainless steel collar stays work great. They are thick enough (20/22 gage) to effectively hold collars in place, but not so thick that they cause problems.The only reason I didn't give these stays a five-star rating is that a couple of the stays should have been tumbled more to remove the edge burr. It's not a big deal - I just took a piece of 400 grit emery cloth to them - but I shouldn't have had to do this.Overall a fine product and a reasonable price.

What can I say? They're collar stays. My only gripe is that I bought a set of magnets to use with them, only to discover that these collar stays come with 4 magnets. Magnets are not pictured with the collar stays, and the bulleted description says that the stays do not work with magnets. Very odd. They are steel, so they are magnetic. They also rust, so be careful not to run them through the wash with your shirts.

These things are great! I wear a lot of dress shirts and over time those flimsy plastic inserts just don't hold up. So one day I thought to myself, Hey! what if I invented a lightweight but strong insert, I'll be rich! Well, wouldn't you know it someone else had already don't it so good for them and I guess I'll keep my day job. Thanks for coming up with this. I use these all the time and toss out the plastic ones when unpacking my shirts for the first time.

I've been using these for several weeks now and they are as expected. I appreciate the multiple lengths which fit my various collars, and there are enough that you don't have to worry about losing one or two (not that I have yet). I had no issues with burrs or sharp edges that others described - mine were well-machined and smooth. I haven't left them in my collars when sending to the cleaners, so don't know how they'd hold up (rust? other damage to shirt?), but I'm usually pretty careful about that. I would absolutely buy these again.

These collar stays are much better than the plastic one I've been using for a few years now. This really keep the collar straight and the collar looks much better than with a plastic collar stay. The build quality is great and the edges don't grab the fabric of my shirts so it's fine. However, I think they are a bit expensive for collar stays.

You know those little plastic tabs that come with your shirts from pretty much every clothier from Target to Nordstrom?Yeah, get rid of those and buy a set of these. This size works great in pretty much all my shirts, most of which are Nordstrom Smartcare, 16.5" neck. I of course take them out before putting them through the washing machine, but I have missed a few once or twice. They come out just fine and don't rust if that happens.Overall, I'd buy them again and again if I ever ran out!
