This album still has all the balls! It was so ahead of it's time that Rage didn't really get the acclaim they deserved until they got more radio-friendly.😖 This will always be a classic.

Just bought this and compared several tracks to the original 1992 CD. This is HANDS DOWN superior to the original CD. Each and every track has increased clarity and extra PUNCH to it! Esp for $6.20, this CD is WELL worth it!Only minor con is pretty much every studio track on here (with exception to Killing and Fistful) have a bit TOO much bass added to them. So I had to EQ the bass down a little on those tracks. But again I don't mind b/c the overall quality is definitely improved!**Update: I ended up getting the recently released Hybrid SACD version of this album as a gift. I have to say, it even outdoes the 20th Anniversary Edition! Sounds even more clearer & cleaned up, and the excessive bass issue I mentioned noticing on the 20th Anniversary Edition is nowhere to be found here, so no need to EQ the bass down on this at all! It's mastered at a lower volume, so you can REALLY crank it up and it never gets TOO loud and always sounds "smooth & balanced." But it costs like 3-4 times this XX album does, so that's another factor to consider. Plus if you wanna rip it cuz it's a Hybrid Super Audio CD you'll need special software (Foobar, etc + a couple plugins) on your computer to do it.

A friend got me the Vinyl remaster and it sounded so good I had to get the same version on CD. A killer recording taken to another level.

Musically, this is great! Tom Morello was and still is a mind-blowing guitarist, the bass player and drummer seamlessly weave in and out of some of the coolest funk and metal riffs I've ever heard. The singer (or rapper I should say) could have had a good career doing just hip-hop, but he can scream with some of the best headbangers too. The only thing that gets me is their lyrics and message, which I can't seem to figure out exactly. I get that they are basically pro-freedom and anti-oppression, but beyond that I can't tell where they stand. They're all for people not simply believing what they hear and see in the media and to figure issues out for themselves (which is good), but they sometimes seem like they are inciting the populace to revolt whether it is needed or not. They seem to be on both sides of some issues like peacekeeping, racism, liberalism, and conservativism. Oh well, I do my best to mentally filter out the lyrics and just enjoy the music, especially since I am no longer an angry teen rebel looking for a cause.

CD came undamaged. No scratches and great songs! Recommend

It would be hard for me to believe that 20 years have passed since the RATM's first album came out, but it's true, and this masterpiece came out again as such a great edition. Two cds, one with full album + 3 live songs, and the other one with demo recordings, plus two dvds with all video works + a huge free concert that happened in London (and of course a 180gram vinyl that's cherry on top of the cake), are contained in this edition. Of course, there is a photo book and a big poster, all wrapped in a nice box. I have been a fan since Rage Against the Machine started, and this edition has been a jewel in the crown.

This is a true masterpiece, one of the best nineties records and undoubtely one of the best ever debut albums. This super de luxe edition comes full of extras, the original album is in the first CD remastered for this edition, another CD contains the usual demos, and there are two DVD with two live performances, one is the 2009 concert in London to cellebrate the Christmas number one in UK charts, the other contains their first Public performance. The box also includes a poster, a big book with photos and a 180 grams vinyl original album's copy. A big cellebartion for a récord that deserves it. Congratulations!
