Good value and solid fits well
Good value and solid handle, this was a good fit on a generic 5lb mattock head, slid it on, banged on the ground, job done. At half the price of other options I’m well pleased with this and don’t regret not purchasing a dearer one. It’s made of a good clean piece of timber, wood variety unknown but looks a bit like beech?I took the time to give it a quick sand and apply several coats of linseed oil as this item arrives unfinished which proved both look and feel and maybe will keep it looking better for longer.As for durability, time will tell.I’ll add a picture as/when I next dig this out of the shed.

Strong and sturdy
Having recently broken my pick shaft I decided to repair it rather than replace it. I was surprised at the value for money but as it’s only being used in my allotment wasn’t expecting such a sturdy product. It fits well in the existing head and should be good for a few more years. If I’m being picky I would ask for a disc to hammer in the end to ensure it expands the head.

Sturdy thing
Arrived earlier than advertised and with a small amount of delivery damage.. packaging was not the best... but the damage will not affect its usability.... its at the end which will take some bashing anyway. The handle itself seems very strong and I am sure I'll get good use from it.

Replacement for Mattock
Previous Mattock handle (wooden) had rotted due to being left out in all weathers.This item fitted easily, banged down a few times and has not come loose.Handle is light and absorbs shocks.

Home protection
Had this many years ago. All I have to say is...COME UNINVITED INTO MY HOUSE...ACT A FOOL at a gathering...disrespect my wife.This handle doesn't bend and it cracks coconuts.
