I sit here at 6:50am on a Sunday not because I normally get up at 6:50am on a Sunday noooo. I’m up because the neighbors dogs were barking t their normal wake up time of 6:50am. Bark bark bark bark. I enjoy being startled awake every. Single. Morning. From these dogs I get to enjoy a heart rate that skyrockets from being startled awake followed by a migraine the size of Kentucky, followed by rage of epic proportions.Let me share the story of how I know this does not work on ALL dogs. I bought the “elite” out of desperation in hopes I would not have to confront my neighbors after 4 YEARS (yes you heard correctly 4 years) of this non stop barking. I test this out of the amazing box like Ralphie in A Christmas Story opening his air rifle. I immediately put the batteries in. OOOPS! I have a beautiful kind and VERY quiet golden retriever. He runs over to me like WTH momma???!? Runs to the door to do outside. Runs to end of driveway and just stares at house. I can’t get him to come back in. Oh. I but also Yay! It works! I’ll shut these neighbor dogs up once and for all. So now I have to plan. I’m 3 houses away from the dogs. So I plot to sneak over to my first neighbors house at night. I’ll hang it in their pine tree, they will never notice! So night comes. I “sneak” over to my neighbors back yard. Give away # 1. We have 4 feet of snow so now there are track to the tree. Oh well it’s March it has to melt soon. Keep going! I think to myself. So I get up to the tree and find a good Branco. Suddenly BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK! These dogs are like 5 feet away from me, behind a fence luckily. But they are supposed to be inside for the night!! So they scare the crap out of me with their blood curdling barks. And then, I smell cigarette smoke and see a tall silhouette out of the corner of my eye. It’s the dog owner staring at corner of his lot watching me hook up this thing. So now the dogs are out of control, he’s sitting there and in a spineless tone that you can’t even hear above his dogs death barks “hey be quiet”. Then he sees me in the dark, just stands there looking at a tree trying to pull a branch through the hoop it comes with, like this this doesn’t look weird at all. So he says “Uh, sorry about my dogs”. This unleashed the beast in my 110 pound 5’1” frame. Oh I lectured him. I told him how I am losing my mind with his dogs. He needs to control his dogs barking as all the neighbors are sick of it. That I’ve called the cops 10 times and still he does nothing!! He responds in a Forrest Gump like tone “Yeah we tried training but it doesn’t work” (dogs are still barking at this point!) so I say “Get a bark color! They have ones that spray, emit a high pitch tone or shock them…Control your dogs!!” And I walk away (using my same snow path I made going directly to my house). So now I sit and wait. 6:50am next morning arrives. BARK!….and then nothing. Omg this might work!! I celebrate. I was feeling relief for the first time in years not being woke up by satan dogs. Then…Sunday morning. I’m startled awake whilst dreaming. I sit there and I count…30 barks. 10 minutes later. 30 barks. Oh! Just now! More barks. I’m about to have a coronary.Last ditch effort will be to ask my passive aggressive neighbor if I can hang this on their fence to get a coupe feet closer. Now these neighbors…those barking dogs attacked their golden costing thousands in vet bills and traumatized their dog to this day. Hopefully they will let me hang this on their fence. If that does not work I am returning this. BTW. 2 days later my dog is still staring at me like “Why did you hurt me?”

2 neighbors, 7 dogs total...I have neighbors to the west of us that have 5 Cocker Spaniels that bark at anything and everything. Yes, we tried talking to them multiple times, called and sent emails to animal control, nothing worked. They did put shock collars on a couple of the constant barkers but they said it was hurting them. So I decided to purchase this unit and glad I did. At noon we installed it on a long pole, within minutes the barking only lasted a few seconds then about every 5 minutes then silence towards 6:00 when they're normally going ballistic. The next day was different, meaning only one dog was barking and just one yap every 5-7 seconds. I went over and looked at the LED light which was still blinking. The dogs heard me then they all started barking. Within 3 or 4 seconds they were attacking, mauling each other as to tell one another to "shut up". Bottom line, it took less than a week to almost entirely end the barking issue.Neighbor to the south with 2 Weimaraners:These have to be the loudest barking dogs on the planet. I live on 1.2 acres with these 2 a few hundred ft behind us that seem to suffer from separation anxiety with their owners. Again, we've spoken to theses people dozens of times and they're in total denial. Instead of purchasing another unit I placed ours at the back fence about 8 ft high. Again, we heard barking and what sounded like they were attacking each other but within 10 minutes it stopped completely.Here's where it get's interesting. My wife noticed a sheriffs officer looking over our fence, we both approached asking what's going on. The officer said "We're responding to a call from your neighbor Mr L*******i that says you're video taping him with a hidden camera in that birdhouse". I laughed and said, "That's a bark deterrent device, let me get the box for you"... Within 10 seconds she looks at it, nods here head a says, "No problem, we're done here".Final thoughts:I'm glad the device worked, particularly with both breeds. As far as durability, it fell to the ground on a windy day, a 8 or 9 ft drop to the asphalt and still works. I'm only on my third 9v Duracell battery after 4 weeks - highest setting #3. The only con is the battery clip on this device is rather flimsy if there's no blinking light, check the connection.Good luck.
