As good as it gets
Sticks to hair really well. Best to cut out the toes and paste them on separately. If you have a hairy dog, I guarantee these stickers will stick really well. Maybe too well. They will come off the pads way before they fall off the hair. This was a problem for me. At first I just slapped the whole sticker on my English Cocker Spaniel’s paws. They stuck to the hair great so it didn’t really matter if they stuck to the pads and I was pleased. But as they began to wear, this was a problem. If a corner of the sticker adhesive wore off I had to just use scissors to cut off the bad part, because there was no way I could peel off the rest of the sticker. It was stuck so strongly on her hair that trying to pull off a still sticky bit was difficult and painful for her. Plus I discovered that little bits of debris was getting stuck under the sticker. Still, the stickers are by far the best solution I’ve found for my elderly, balance challenged dog. They were making such a huge difference to her that I didn’t want to give them up. I had read that others had cut the stickers into pieces, so I tried it and…Yay! It fixed all our problems. Sticking each toe on separately eliminated the space that was trapping the debris under the sticker. Plus, as each toe comes off, you just replace the toe instead off taking off the whole sticker. You simply cut the toes out while the sticker is still stuck to the package backing and then put each cut-out toe on the pads separately. The two pictures I posted show my technique. In one of the pictures you can see that the large palm sticker was staying on and wearing down naturally, so I left it on and just replaced the four toes. Some tips: put the stickers on when your dogs feet are clean and dry, then wait a little for the adhesive to set before you let them out of grass or rough surfaces. My dog tends to lose about half of the toe stickers in 48 hours. So they do need to be replaced regularly. But I don’t think you could safely make the adhesive stronger or you would not be able to get them off if you needed to. These are still way better than boots and socks. The waterproof boots that they can wear outside aren’t breathable so they can’t wear them 24/7. The socks that are breathable can’t be worn outside. So with boots or socks you’re always taking things on and off. Replacing the stickers is easy in comparison.

Work surprisingly well! (but need frequent replacement)
We got these for our almost 16 year old, 64 lb hound with arthritis in her back legs on the recommendation of her vet. We're both surprised and delighted by how well these paw grips work. With these, she is able to get up off tile floors on her own, which she is not able to do without them. We were also pleasantly surprised by how well she took to them. We thought putting them on her paws would be a fight (she can be very stubborn when she doesn't like something.) but she didn't mind having them stuck on her paws at all. (We stuck them on when she was laying down with the bottom of her feet showing rather then trying to get them on while she was standing.) She immediately began walking around as if to try them out. We're not sure whether she doesn't even know she's got them on or if she actually likes them, but she definitely does not mind them. The only reason we gave them four, instead of five, stars is because they do slide and work their way off after about three days (with no rain). It's to be expected and probably can't be helped. The pads undergo a lot of shear stress as the dog walks around. (Our girl still looks forward to her daily walk - about a mile a day on asphalt.) And the pads do keep on working to prevent slipping, even as they work their way off her paws. But, because they're expensive and need to be reordered online, it might be hard to keep her "in shoes" all the time. So though we do recommend these and are deighted by how well they work, the fact that they need to be replaced so often (it looks like the 12 sets that come on the order are good for about a month), keeps us from giving the highest five star rating.

WOW!! LOVE THESE!!!
I was worried when my 17 year old stopped walking around the house. She was afraid of falling. She didn't have the muscle control to give her that extra support on the hard wood floor. I got these pads and once on the dog, it took her about 5 minutes to realize something was different. She walked with more confidence and even jumped back onto the hardwood after going outside. She's prancing around the house again and she even RAN down the hallway! What a game changer. She's back in motion and sooooo happy and confident! LOOKS and EASE - First - they're adorable!!! It took me less than 3 minutes to put them on all 4 paws and it was soooo easy. Once on - they stayed on for a long time...about a week until it rained and then they started to roll around so I removed them and applied new ones. No big deal at all. Taking them off I was a little nervous because they're sticky. I removed them slowly and even cut a piece that was stuck on some fur. Second time I removed them by letting my dog stand in an inch of water that I mixed with coconut oi and they slld off easier. Gave her a quick bath and re-applied. That will be our new system, but see what works for you. LOVE THESE!!!!

Didn't last
We really hoped these would help our senior dog have better grip on our hardwood floors. They did provide moderate help, but they didn't provide as much grip as needed. Additionally, the pads came off within three to four days. Our dog didn't chew them off; he has limited mobility and can't reach the paws to chew them. He is also rarely outdoors except for a brief potty break, so they didn't get exposed to moisture that would cause them to fall off.

Great adhesive. They work.
I got the medium for my senior 14lb rat terrier and they were a little big so I cut them down. After 24hrs, a few toe stickers shifted but they were still operational. He's absolutely fine with them on and hasn't tried to bite at them. He doesn't like shoes so this surprised me. I trimmed his toe fur and cleaned his pads with an alcohol swab. They're sticking great. They've helped him stay upright and avoid 'bambi-legging' it down the hallway. Success. I also put these medium sized grips on my 89lb pitbul. They're obviously too small but we cut them and made them work. She's getting a little more traction on the smooth floors. 24hrs later and just 2 toe stickers have shifted. She's unbothered by them. I'm impressed with how well these stick and move with the dogs. I would buy them again.

They work- don't ask how!
So we moved into a house that has no carpet and all tile and my very old dog started doing the splits. I kept looking at all the options at amazon and other dog websites and NONE had good reviews. I knew my dog wouldn't like any sorts of booties 24/7 (no one does) so I bought some socks with some grippy dots on them after just giving up. My dog was just whining in them, if you tie the velcro too tight, the paw would sweat and swell, if you don't tie it tight, then the sock just starts rotating around the paw and of course lands on the part that has no grip so the dogs is sliding again. Many times the sock would just come off of him somehow so it just wasn't working. I was back again searching here and decided to give this a shot after coming across it multiple times in the past few months and just knowing in my heart that it would not work, not much grip and it won't stick, that's what I told myself. Let me tell you that I've seen more of my dog in the past 2 days because he is walking than I've seen of him of the past few months! They work but as others mentioned, they will come off quickly. I saw some of them coming off in less than 2 days so I used little super glue the second time around to put them. I noticed that they would only last probably just 1 day longer however they would irritate the dog when they are coming off because they just wont fall off gracefully so I stopped using the glue- do pay attention that you are not peeling the dog paw's skin off. If you are desperate for your dogs to stop dancing on the floors, buy this, it works but know that you would be doing this often. I have a baby and have absolutely no extra time but still check his paws daily before bed time to replace whats needed. If that's what I need to do for the rest of his life for him to walk, then that's what I need to do, till someone comes up with a better solution. do trim the long hairs on his paws and don't just stick the whole piece on the paw, cut them into smaller pieces- check the pics that other reviewers posted. Further update after few months, we started putting the piece as is- without cutting- works better. Still need to be replaced daily as the dog sweats through paws and they end up coming off easily. We are looking into Floorigami (peel and stick carpet tile) right now as a temp solution to put on the floor for the dogs to help with traction as well.

Don’t stick to paw well
I bought these because my dog lost a hind leg and was slipping a lot on hard floors. I had previously bought rubber-coated booties for her remaining back foot, but it’s a pain to take it off every time we go out and put back on every time we come in, which is what I was doing because else her nails cut through them within a week. So I thought these stick-on pads would be better. They DO help her not slip on the hard floors. However, I’ve found that they are peeling off towards the end of the day so I end up replacing them daily. I’ve tried cleaning her foot with soap and water and drying well before application. This made no difference. Then I tried cleaning her paw with an alcohol wipe before application with the same results. The same thing happens whether I separate the toe pieces or not. So while these DO help with slipping, I’d say be prepared to replace them every day. This means if your dog needs one per paw per day, you’re going to go through the whole pack in 12 days. Since my girl is only wearing them on one paw, we get 48 days per pack, which isn’t so bad, but when this pack is gone, I’m going back to the rubber boot.

Gamechanger for my dog, but expect to reapply regularly.
My senior dog is gradually losing mobility in his hind legs due to arthritis. His legs slowly slip out from under him on wood floors and there's no carpet in the house. He has trouble getting his footing, and it's very hard for him to stand back up if he's lying down. I have tried rubber claw cover grips and grippy socks/shoes, neither of which were effective or easy to put on and take off. These stickers have given him his mobility back. He can actually stand on hard surfaces without his back feet slowly sliding out from under him and he can stand back up again on his own (although sometime he still needs help due to weakness/bad positioning). He is not a chewer and has never torn them off. You can't expect these stickers to be what they're not. At the end of the day, they're just stickers and they're not really going to stay on your dog's feet for very long. A pack of 48 lasted my senior dog two months, although he is not active at all. He spends most of his time inside napping and doesn't really go outside much anymore since he potties on pads now due to all the stairs leading outside. So if that describes your dog, these stickers will likely last longer. I think I reapply them paw-by-paw every 1-2 days as they fall off on their own. Sometimes they can make it up to 4 days, but that is rare. I got the XXL size for my dog. He is a black lab mix and 65 lbs. and the paw stickers are almost exactly the same size as his front paws. His back paws are a little smaller, but they still work fine. At first, I cut them up into individual toes because I read in reviews they work better that way. That gets old very fast as it's a hassle to cut, peel, apply, and remove all those little toe pieces. And I'd find them all over the house! They last longer when applied in a single sheet as they stick to the inner hair between the paws. They're easier to apply and remove in one sheet as well. They don't seem to bother him at all and he acts like he has nothing on his feet. I wait until they're mostly off to remove them as to not rip out his inner paw hairs, or I'll cut the sticker off the hair. I've only had to do that a couple times though. TL;DR: They're worth a shot for your inactive, indoor dog as long as you recognize you will have to continuously reapply them every 1-2 days. Make sure to measure your dog's paws to get the right size!
