Easy to use!
This was easy to use and works great. I use obs software instead of what it cam with to view/record the slides.

As a teacher I use this camera as a teaching tool. It adapts to the schools old single optic microscopes. I am able to connect to my laptop which then connects to a projector. I did not need the software to use the camera. The laptop recognized the camera right away.

Much is lost but easy to use
The attached pictures are of the same species of both the diatom and also of the algae. The first picture is a diatom captured by my phone-attached camera to my microscope. It is perfectly lit, sharp and the image is clear. You can see the organelles quite well. The second picture is much darker (same microscope) and it looks dirty, fuzzy, and out of focus--this is with the camera that attaches to the PC.The next two photos are algae from up close. The first is via the camera attached to my phone that is attached to the microscope. It is sharp, clean, and bright. The next photo is the same algae but photo captured by the camera on this page attached to the microscope and to the computer. Same microscope and same computer and same phone all the time.And while for the casual observer the differences may not make that much of a difference, it can be troublesome and irritating.I gave it a 3-star because it is still worth having for the ease of use and it always works. But really the picture quality is 1*, the camera quality is 2* and only the ease of use is 5*.

It is working perfectly.
For a low entry camera it does his job. The camera is recognized by the « cheese » software in Linux system and work without any extra installation there. On windows you can download the latest amscope software for cameras if you want latest functionality. Great product.

Great camera
Hooked it up to my Leica third eye and my HP/PC...instantly worked and did not need adaptors.

Sharpness
Have a nikon scope and this camera fit perfectly and works fantastic with my old eyes

Less filed of view and not good at full res
Works really well at lower resolution. Just be prepared to adjust the scope for reduced field of view.
