Honestly this book has aided me in many ways in my personal walk with Christ. Allowing me to see as a young adult the ways I ought to behave and act. I truly recommend this book to every young teenager to young adult. Eye opening. Reading it as a good supplement when reading the Bible. 🙌😁

Very good book. Does what it says on the tin. American bias, but solid biblical advice for young men. Would recommend it to mid/ late teens prior to going off to university

This book is great, especially for men who are developing in their walk.

As our sons moved out of our home to secular college campuses, I could tell that they were struggling to maintain the daily disciplines of Bible study, prayer, guarding their thought life, and managing their time spent on the internet and on their phones that we had practiced in our home. This book, written from a man's perspective, is engaging, honest, and convicting while still being encouraging. As they begin to stand on their own faith, this book provides a rubric upon which young men can identify areas in which he needs to set up hedges of protection for himself. The author asks the reader questions for evaluation which ultimately lead to the reader making specific decisions about how to handle each issue presented. A wonderful resource to support and encourage a young man, especially as he embarks on living independently in the world.

I got this to gift my little brother for Christmas! I love the idea of basic disciplines to help him on the path to righteousness! I wanted to get him a gift to help him know Jesus even more than he already does <3

I have bought and given away over 100 copies of this book. It is a classic. It is the best I have ever read covering all the vital topics of Christian disciplines. This book is awesome. I love every section of this book. This is for young Christian men who are going through young issues. This is something you will not regret reading. I love this book, and I also take some examples out of this book and use it in my personal life. Great Book, with great examples.
