0.5 Gallon Tiny Countertop Trash Can, Mini Desktop Garbage Can with Push-Button, White

I read all the reviews on this item and on some similar items. Someone please explain to me why someone gives this product one star because it was smaller than expected. As for me, I read the description before I bought it. Duh?I was looking for something quite small that would fit in a drawer of my nightstand. I perform a lot of minor wound care and need a container for bandaid wrappers, gauze pads and other items that need to be thrown out. I want to keep them separate from the other trash in the bathroom.I love purple, and this is definitely purple. It fits in the drawer just fine. I use little half gallon bags. I could not be happier with this item.

I got this for my desk top in my home office, i didnt have a lot of room for another trash can on the floor and I dont generate a lot of "trash" while working at home that does not go in the paper re-cycle box. So this small trash can was perfect. It is plastic, so if you put something yucky in there you can wash it out I guess. I have not done that yet, but I dont see why you could not submerge it in the sink with dish soap. It is totally plastic. It is a nice color pink, which is what I wanted. You just tap the top and it pops open. Not sure what "easy to remove" means in the star ratings unless they mean the lid, which I have not done yet. Anyway, I would buy this again if needed.

Trust me, I’m not what you would call shapely and this thing isn’t red either. It’s coral, peachy pink etc. but not red. If you saw an apple that color you’d figure the wicked witch had already poisoned it! It’s not even a really nice color, kinda left over from the 50’s. Other that this little guy is great. It doesn’t take up any more room that a square Kleenex Box, is just a little taller and has a nice locking, easy pop-up top. I use mine on my patio to hold all the tissues needed for my allergies. Saves a lot of trips getting up to use the larger trash can. The four stars is because the *@#$#*+*@* sticker on the front of it was beyond a royal pain to get off. There’s no reason anything should be stuck that tight to anything! The glue was overkill and the paper so flimsy it fell apart every time you got a little bit peeled off! Take note guys....fix the sticker! Also make these up in some better colors. If I was still in my old profession these colors would be to “cutesy” for my desk. Maybe a gray to match the top or black, brown or maybe even a good old American red!

I was looking for a small but affordable compost bin, with a lid, to go on the counter next to the sink. I decided to order this one because I liked the push open/close feature for tossing my compost scraps in one handed and keeping fruit flies out. I ordered the green/yellow color unsure if it would be big enough but I was so happy with the capacity (1/2 gallon) and size that I ordered 2 more in purple/blue for my minivan to be trash bins. This is an extremely small trash bin, and not for everyone! This was just what I was looking for because everything in my kitchen has to earn it's counter space, this is small, convenient to use, holds a surprising amount of waste all while looking good. I am very pleased with my compost bin, pleased enough to buy it again for it's intended use.

First, I like the clean & neat look it gives my countertop. If I have slightly larger trash to throw in it, I remove the top & just return it back, then cover it. Very convenient, I use the plastic bags from the market. At the end of the day I pull out the plastic bag, tie it & throw it. What made me go looking for a small countertop trash can with a lid/cover were the gnats we had. This summer, we had so much fruit, we had an abundance of gnats. It does keep them out. Size: 5”x5”.Warning: This is not very sturdy so use some care in your handling. It can last you some time with a bit of care.Would I buy it again or recommend it? Definitely yes.

This is by far the best addition I've made to my kitchen counter. Easy disposal of all those little trash bits that come to you when you're cooking or working in the kitchen! The top does come off really easily, but pops back on just as easily. I haven't been able to find bags that actually fit it, but the 1.2 gallon garbage bags I'm using work OK.

I'm not sure what the issue is, but I had it for a day and maybe used the lid twice before it stopped opening and closing properly. Takes forever to get it to snap close and then once closes does not spring back up without force, I know its cheap plastic but I expected a little lore use out of it!

I loved this bin until the spring loaded pop-open lid stopped functioning. The lid latch slips out of position, it is not securely installed, and therefore doesn’t grip the prong to hold the lid closed. I made a couple of attempts to remedy this problem but ultimately failed.
