My “1 year later” Positive Review...
I’ve had my duvet cover for about a year and I absolutely love it. The quality is on point and not even a button has come off! I’m extremely pleased with how soft it is and has gotten over the past year and still looks beautiful and vibrant! Please understand how linen works and appreciate that over time it does soften up. I didn’t feel it was overly rough when I got it but it was as linen should be- a bit stiff but not overly scratchy. My first 2 initial washes were done in cold water in my washing machine on the lowest gentle setting and shortest cycle. I did this before I ever even slept on it. I only used baking soda, a bit of watered down vinegar, and few drops of essential oil. I air dried it in the sun as the sun kills any bacteria. After a few of these types of washes every 2-3 week, I started using my dryer to do a partial dry... lowest heat setting and only for a short time to take out the moisture. I use an organic lavender bag in the dryer too. I half dry and then hang it to air dry (you can hang it indoors too if outside it too difficult/cold/wet etc.). If you use a detergent it must be free of all harsh chemicals and do not use bleach unless you want holes in your duvet! This is an organic high quality linen duvet which means it’s free of all chemical and pesticide so I recommend that you treat it as such!I have an 80lb boxer and 5lb. Chihuahua who sleep on and under the covers and the only change I would have made is to not have chosen white! Lol... its definitely a durable cover and hair doesn’t stick to it but the whitest white gets dirty quickly.

For linen this is a great value
Nowhere near as sturdy as the Restoration Hardware Belgian bed linens I bought, but also about 1/3 maybe 1/4 of the price and wayyyyy softer since it is thinner. This is all the things you love about linen & also all the things you don’t. If you love the inviting, soft, sturdy, wrinkly linen look, this is a great valley for the money. If you hate wrinkles and want something more put-together, this isn’t for you. If $ is no object, I would buy the RH Belgian linen again. But if you’re on a budget but still want the luxury of pure linen bedding, this is comparatively ‘cheap’ and is softer than the kind that it takes a few years to ‘wear in’ but that you’ll have 50 years. I’m more fickle, so I’m more likely to change out my duvet before it wears out.

Beautiful, love it! Just wish it had more ties.
Perfect color, material feels great. I love the button detail on the pillow cases and duvet. The one drawback and the reason I only gave 4 stars rather than 5 is it is missing the ties in one corner, and I was hoping it would have ties in the middle of each side. But so far it seems to all be staying in place and it is beautiful!**UPDATE - I used the one above (purple queen) for a long time and it has held up through many washings. I just bought a full size in light grey and washed them, and a button immediately fell off the duvet. Not a big deal, I can sew it back on. My only complaint with the light grey is the pillow cases are more see through so if your pillows have any tags or color underneath it will show through. Otherwise I LOVE this duvet/pillow cases, both the purple queen and light grey full size I have. This time I am using the full size duvet with my queen size comforter inside because the queen size duvet was a little too loose (I wanted that overstuffed look). Worked great! (But still wish they had more ties!)

Great color, fit, and feel
I love love love this. I got the pastel purple one. I’ve ordered numerous linen duvets and this one finally checked all the boxes. This color is so great, rich and muted with no splotchesThe full sized duvet fits perfect (I’ve always had full/queen size options that leave extra fabric)This cover has ties to keep my insert in place! The pillow cases have the coconut buttons on the edges too which I hadn’t noticed and really like.I think it’s pretty soft off the bat but I plan to wash it before sleeping with it so it’s clean and softens more.

Good value, washes well
I was a little worried when I ordered this and found out it was coming from China but I have been pleased with my purchase so far. This duvet cover is a good value. It's a little more expensive than similar options I found at Target but way cheaper than similar ones at BBB and West Elm. I love the texture this adds to my bed. The color is a warm almost taupey gray. The material is somewhat scratchy and you will want to use a top sheet for sure. The buttons and the duvet ties are a really nice touch.I have washed and dried on medium-high twice and it's holding up nicely. I noticed a few loose threads but nothing too concerning.

Color is a little different
When buying online I have to rely on the photos for color. This grey is a little on the taupe side. Photo makes it look like a true grey. I did like the quality of the material and it softens as its washed. It has the inner ties to keep insert in place. Keep in mind if you are looking for a true grey get an other clolor. FYI the white of an off white. Hope this helps.

Needs a couple washes
This definitely needs a handful of washes to break into them. The first wash, it was really rough on our skin. We’re about 8 washes in and it finally feels softer. The cover looks very nice though besides the stiffness. It is heavy for a linen set. I prefer it lighter.

feels lovely and soft, and looks great too
When I decided to ditch our former sheets and dive into the world of lovely linen bedding, I was overwhelmed. Eventually I had to narrow our options down to the cheaper end of what is available, while still trying to find good quality. I bought linen sheets from West Elm, and we like those quite a bit, but I was surprised to find that they feel somewhat rougher, with a heavier weave than this set. That may turn out to be a good thing over time, as they soften up and all that, but I really like that these feel somewhat softer and finer. For what it's worth, it's been several months, and I'm quite satisfied with the pairing of the West Elm sheets and this duvet cover. It looks and feels great.

Happy with my purchase
I originally purchased this set in King size but I had to return it as the size was too big (European comforter was much smaller than a US one). Then, because it looked like Queen size was sold out I ordered another set which was half linen, half cotton but I was disappointed it with it. But Amazon emailed me that the Queen size is available again and I purchased it immediately. I also purchased a new comforter in matching size. I am like the linens even though I expected the fabric to be a bit thicker. No sure why the survey is asking me if it's wrinkle free - nobody expects linen to be wrinkle free, it's part of its charm. The only comment I have is that I do not understand why the buttons are on the shorter side that I am pretty sure in everybody's bedroom will end up on the side of the bed. I realize it depends how the comforter is positioned on the bed but most people have it hanging over the sides (i.e. the longer side goes across the bed). Not worth deducting a star for it though - just a little pet peeve of mine since the buttons are pretty.
