So far so good! Our other shakers started to corrode so we got these and they are very nice. I like that they have a cover and that you turn them upright when done. I like the rubber tray that they sit in.

These feel great in the hand and are well-made and sturdy. I mostly use the one in which I have sea salt. It works great, and is a pleasure to use each and every time. Great design! All the moving parts are still moving effortlessly, there is a wide range of grind size available, and the tension is right to keep your setting from changing when you turn the grinder. The materials are of excellent quality, as there is no sign of rust or tarnish on the steel, and the glass feels unlikely to chip or break. After using them for a year, there is no discernable sign of wear, and I happily anticipate that I will be able to continue using my Modetro Salt and Pepper Shakers for years to come.

I ordered this salt & pepper grinder set based on the many good reviews here and I was not disappointed at all. I've only used black pepper corns so far and the ceramic cutters grind them very smoothly and to whatever coarseness I prefer. The smoothness and ease of the grinding is what I think impresses me most. They seem to be well made and should last. I do have one minor concern because sandwiched between the ceramic cutters is a small stainless steel spring. I intend to put sea salt in the other grinder and I hope the salt does not eventually corrode the spring. This is the whole reason I bought ceramic cutters! Only time will tell. But right now, I really like everything about the grinders, the looks, the feel, and the operation. The silicon pad stores them very neatly and all together they look very nice on our counter. The lids are a bit different in that one has a slight friction fit and the other just sits on top of the grinder and can easily be knocked off. Not a problem for me but just pointing it out fyi.

These are simply the best spice grinders I have ever used! They can adjust from a very coarse grind to a very fine powder grind, easily. They are ceramic, conical burr, grinders with a stainless steel exterior, and glass bottoms. The grinders move easily with little use of force. Easy on arthritic hands. They can be put through the dishwasher, if you open up the grinders to the most coarse ( most open) position, so that the water will successfully dry. The grinders stand just under 5.5 inches tall. The glass bottom is 3 inches tall, and the very bottom is 2.5 inches wide. This grinder set came with a flexible, black, silicone decorative tray to set them on. To be honest, I don't use it. If I kept the set on the table, I probably would, but since I use them near the stove and I need every bit of room I can get, I don't use the tray. These grinders can handle pretty much anything you can stuff into them...maybe not nuts, but I haven't tried nuts....YET. Peppercorns, hot pepperflakes, minced onion, sunflower seeds. Celtic Sea Salt, cardamom pods...all do beautifully in this grinder. I would happily recommend this grinder set. It is small, but still holds a good amount of spices (8oz) and doesn't take up a lot of space. Look a nice, too!

I love this salt and pepper grinder set, and even bought another one for the kitchen (one for dinner table and one for cooking, also for different types of salt and pepper). They are very easy to refill, but large enough that I don't often have to do that ( which is so nice!!) I have had grinders that were difficult to turn, these are not. I have had some that were less convenient to fill, these are not. I absolutely recommend these!

The salt and paper shakers work well, the grinder is easy to adjust for fine or coarse grounds. I like that it has a small tray to keep them together. The ground seasonings do not end up on the table or counter because they are designed to set upright with the grinder part on top with a nice snap on lid to cover. The lids snap on and off easily, they seem well made, and look nice. Pleased with the purchase for the money.

Hard review to write. I love these mills. The capacity is perfect. The aesthetics are wonderful. The simple, no-frills design is exactly what I'm looking for. However... it lasted two years. I believe peppercorns to be too hard for the type of plastic they chose to manufacture these mills with, as you can see from the picture. If that part was cast aluminum, they'd almost as affordable, and would last a long time. If you're fine with the disposable culture we live in, these are perfect for you, but chances are you won't be finding these in any antique shops, nor will you be passing them down to your children.

Was in the market for a coarse salt and black pepper mill. Came across this product and after reading through all the reviews, decided to try them out and was definitely not disappointed. Pros: + Well made, good quality + Easy to use + Adjustable: can be coarse or fine + Easy to disassemble + Price is good for value + Comes with a holder Areas for Improvement: - Like many other reviews mentioned, you have to air dry this if you decide to wash it (could take a few days) Bottom line: I really like these grinders and am very happy I bought these. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a salt/black pepper grinder.

The product itself is good but the turn around i.e; postage time was disgusting. To top it all off the products grinding mechanism seized up. Definitely a shonky product Do NOT buy.
