The Wedding Planner & Organizer Review: Great for DIY wedding planners! - This book gets down to the nitty gritty of wedding planning and is perfect for those that are planning their own wedding like myself. It has spaces you can fill in from vendors, to guest lists, to adding business cards in the business card holder. The only downfall is that the guest list pages are short. Common, this is a wedding and there is only enough room to list about 20 guests? I had to take a page down to FedEx and make 11 copies so that I have enough to list all my guests (since it does have options to keep track if they RSVPed, or if you sent them a thank you card, etc.). It comes in a BINDER with loose pages (3 hole punched) and I ended up taking a lot of pages out of miscellaneous stuff that I didn't need. Overall, it's a great option to keep track of vendors, guest list, business cards, song lists, and has half folders in it to hold those ripped out magazine pages =) Review: So helpful!! - I did a lot of research before buying a wedding organizer, and I am SUPER happy I chose this one. It is keeping me very organized and current with what I need to do, how I need to go about it all, and even gives me plenty of room to record my own things and store my own pictures, etc. It even has me asking Qs to my vendors that I never would've thought of. I love that it tells me what SHOULD be done every month, up until the big day!! I took the liberty of going to Staples to buy a cute pink plastic folder for a 3 ring binder, to add to this amazing organizer, just bc I have way too many "idea pics". In the very back you'll find 2 clear plastic inserts, a zip up for pens, sticky notes, and one for business card holders :) LOVE THIS organizer!!!!

Great Book, very good for organizing and remember all the small details.
So glad I purchased this book, I was looking for something that was an organizer/planner/how to book and this book is definitely it!! It gives you great idea's on what to expect of each vendor as well as what to expect through out the whole process of planning a wedding. The book is like your personal wedding coordinator on paper. It has great tabs in the back to keep all the business cards, flyers, etc. I used it to interview every venue we visited because there will always be one detail you forget to mention. You can take out pages and make copies if need more room for notes or just jotting things down. Overall it's a great planner and was good purchase.

Organization is Key!
I had been looking for a wedding planner that would allow me to keep all my receipts of deposits, contracts and ideas all organized in one place. The Mindy Weiss does just that. The 3-ring binder was key for me and the dividers have pockets which are great for magazine clippings and such, not to mention the dividers are helpful when trying to get to vendor info, dress info- it's all sectioned out. I took a lot of the pages out to make room for what I needed, but some of the sections are equipped with useful information such as a registry list, contact sheets, business card holder. It does have multiple pages for guest information, but like I said, I removed pages to make room for more paperwork, but I didn't see it necessary to have the guest list inside as I have it saved on an Excel spreadsheet. I wasn't looking for something to help me plan, I was looking for something to help me organize. If you're looking for guidance, this could be helpful, but I think it's better for someone who already knows most of the major details and needs to keep things organized and maybe get some tips along the way. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, just bc there's no calendar and it's a little wider than a school binder, but other than that I am very happy with it. I considered the Martha Stewart one, but in the end purchased the Mindy Weiss based on other reviews and I am happy with it. My sister used Tying the Knot by Sara Miller, and I considered that too but it seemed to have been a while since it's last print (2005) so I went with Mindy. Oh, and great buy on Amazon, it was about $10 cheaper than in-store at B&N. Good luck to all in the wedding planning process!

Good Tool for Keeping Track of Details
I love the idea of the book and the format it's in. Since some of the pages don't apply to my wedding it was nice to be able to remove them and keep just what I need. For a bride who does need most of the pages (or even if you don't), it's an excellent collection of charts and lists to keep track of the details that seem overwhelming at times. I knew I didn't want a planner/organizer with a lot of pictures or lists of tips/ideas to use (ie wasted space; I don't need pages and pages of centerpiece ideas) and this definitely fit the bill. There isn't a lot of extra information and what is included is better described as suggestions or very basic info. For example, in the dress section one of the first pages shows illustrations of popular wedding gown options (necklines, styles, etc.) and, while it doesn't include a lot of what can be found in the stores, it gives an idea of common shapes to expect to see when you do go dress shopping. I haven't needed to use the pockets yet but I love knowing they're there when the time comes that I do need to use them. The lists they provide are very detailed and cover almost everything you need to keep track of, including things I hadn't thought of. Pros: --few tips and examples; mostly charts and lists to keep the bride organized --the binder allows pages to be removed or added easily and fits an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper so no folding necessary --empty spaces in the charts to add items you need for your wedding but aren't already listed --storage pockets for business cards, fabric swatches, etc. --labeled dividers help keep categories separated but organized in an easy-to-see format --sturdy binder w/ a simple design (the paper cover that is shown in the picture--the one that says "The Wedding Planner and Organizer..."--is just taped to the inside of the front and back covers, so it comes off easily and leaves you with a lightly patterned binder) Cons: I don't really have any negatives. While some of the material is unnecessary as far as my wedding goes, I just took those pages out.

Great investment!
The planner is very well organized and has plenty of room for you to write down your own notes and store items. The budgeting section is incredibly helpful, thorough, and reminded us of things that we would not have remembered on our own. This planner will help you plan from a small to a large wedding and there are even different timelines for short and long engagements. I love that this planner does not overwhelm me but instead helps me to stay focused on what needs to be done. This was an excellent investment.

It is ok, not really worth it
This planner is very nice the format and all that, but it is so big, and hard to carry around, I love the card holder that it has and the quality of it, also I believe it is made for big budget weddings and not really for out-of-the-box traditional weddings, also forget if your weeding is not in the US this will be OK that's it. Summarizing: Good: Quality, tips, card and paper holder, pretty amazing for big traditional, with budget weddings. Bad: Not useful for a destination wedding or non traditional weddings, bulky, ends up not being used I would recommend use a notebook and use post-it flags to separate, if you don't mind the pictures and all that that this does has.

Great Planner!
I purchased this planner for my daughter to use (well, actually, I purchased it for me to use but for her wedding). My book arrived a few minutes ago and I couldn't wait to open the box and see if the other reviewers were right. The book is put together so well and has tons of helpful information. After searching for just the right planner and after reading so many reviews for other planners, I'm glad I decided to purchase this one. I love the binder; the dividers with the pockets are made of heavyweight paper/cardboard; and the plastic pocket at the back of the planner will definitely be used to store business cards and pamphlets.
