To my knowledge the niyacin 500 mg is very high dose for normal people. It can be given in 125 mg to favour the public who is purchasing this one. The 'FLUSH' is very great with this drug which prove that it is genuine. but 500 mg is not so safe to my knowledge. Pl refer R&D and produce accordingly.

Im a pro american bodybuilder. I take 500mg niacin every workout for the flush and health benefits. I've bought 4 other niacin brands that underdose or lie. This is the first brand I've found that is legit.

I’m not sure if it could be life endangering…the innocent looking vitamin- niacin 500mg is a very very high dose and can pose potential risk. I took 1 cap in order to reduce my cholesterol. Being menopausal and having hypothyroidism, I thought it will help me. But after I took, my body started burning starting with my ears, then from my head to toe… I was burning like fire. Then my BP shot up and pulse got really high. Took antihistamine and was on the verge of being hospitalised but due to traffic congestion, I was not able to. Then sought help from the nearest doctor who advised drinking plenty of water and antacid to reduce the effect. Took an alprax pill and my symptoms went away after 3 hours. But I felt I was going to die. Please don’t take it unless advised.

Niacin takes around 50 minutes to kick in, but once it does, you’ll definitely feel the effect. Your body may turn slightly red and feel a bit itchy that’s completely normal and part of the process. Took one capsule empty stomach - after 10 mins started flushing beginning with hands, gradually spreading to face particularly ears, neck, chest and then down the legs. There was intense feeling heat radiating from my ears, reddened skin and then itching all over body. Niacin is said to start with low dose of 25 or 50 mg and gradually build the dose where you get maximum benefit. But there are no low dose niacin drug available in India, it's either 250 or 500mg. Niacin has many therapeutic uses so right dose is going to be different for every one depending upon what therapeutic needs they have.

The flush is great but I developed hives on my legs which took a week to subside, not sure if this caused it. I could be allergic to this, I'm not sure. Anyway I have stopped taking it. If anyone in Bangalore is interested I can give them my supply for free.
