I want to give this 3.5 stars, but not an option. Here's the deal. The instructions for assembling this desk are a bit strange, like the text was written poorly, then run through a machine translator. Some parts make very little sense. And the images are also of poor quality and some parts are cut off. For instance, in one case, the instructions seem to say use screw #E to join two pieces. However, it is really #B. The right edge of the "B" was cut off so that it looks like E. Took me a while to figure this out. Gets frustrating. Once it is assembled, it's fine. One other irritation, though. The product states that the file drawer is legal size. I prefer letter, but that's OK. A letter sized drawer would make the cabinet narrower. So, I'll take a wider cabinet and put up with legal. That said, the cabinet could very easily come with assembly instructions so that one could install the hanging file rails for legal or for letter size. I can't think of a good reason NOT to have that option. In fact, when I get around to it, I'll probably modify it myself. What is more irritating, however, is that the drawer is just a tad too narrow even for legal size hanging folders. I had to cut off about 1/4" from each side of the hanging folders so that they would hang properly. Otherwise, they don't quite fit. Also, the drawer is not a true suspension drawer and only opens about half way. Thus, reaching in to get folders from the back of the drawer is a struggle if the drawer is full. If only half full or so, reaching in pulling the rear files forward is not too much of an issue. In sum, a nicely designed and constructed cabinet, but with some inconveniences that should have been corrected during the design process.

It should not have been this hard to put this together..but it is finally together and there are extra parts. The middle shelf connection to the sides is horrible and it looks week, it broke but I am too tired to return it--especially since it arrived so late.

Overall -it's okay.The instructions were terrible, but after having put together a lot of items for my office, I kind of knew how it should go.
