Dutch Grammar You Really Need to Know (Teach Yourself Language)

Great for quick reference and not overloaded.

I am very happy to have received this book. Hopefully it will help me in my studies. I have not really read it yet so I'm writing this review out of guilt for being lazy.

Very good primer on Dutch grammar, but not too useful for those only wanting conversational Dutch.

Good detail and the exercises separate it from the usual reference grammar.

A gift that was specifically asked for and appreciated

I found this book less than useless. I speak several languages and I was a German translator in the US Army, so I learn languages easily. This book proved itself to be a waste of money soon after I opened the front cover. It begins with a discussion of the basic elements of a sentence, and then, with absolutely no discussion of verbs, their tenses or their conjugation, gives exercises in conjugation. The disorganization and stupidity of this book move forward at full pace, leading only to frustration. Don't buy this book!
