We love it!
This meat mixer made making sausage so much easier. We used to hand mix our meats and finally bought a meat mixer and we will never turn back. The item is built with high quality materials and the ease of use makes the process so much easier! It mixes the meat so well in such a short time. We love it!

Great grinder
I bought this for my son and he loves it. He uses it constantly to grind his meat for sausage.

Sausagefest
Works great. A small crack in the seam after 2 years but will try and contact them. Otherwise a 5 star

Solid purchase
I make a lot of jerky and sausage and this machine will save my hands from mixing the meats and seasonings. It doesn't do well with small amounts of meat in it like 5-8lbs as it doesn't mix well but with larger quantities it's a beast. I'll just keep mixing small batches by hand. I attached a 5/8" twelve point socket to the shaft and using a drill adapter it was a breeze on low speed to mix as long as needed without tiring my arms. It did 16lbs of sausage with room to spare.

It works!
If you want to turn it with a cordless drill, you'll need a 6pt 11/16" socket. Turning by hand isn't bad, either. The tilt feature is kinda mid - easy to figure out the interlocks, but only of limited value in pulling mix out of the trough. It was easy enough to clean in my utility sink - fill it with hot water, let the mix cook, swipe the interior clean with a sponge, and rinse out. I think it was a ton easier than using a stand mixer in multiple batches. Dumped the ground pork and then the farce (pureed beef) and spice, plus jalapeno and cheddar for (surprise...) jalapeno cheddar sausage, a 10lb batch, and about forty cranks later, it was mixed, with good 'stick' to the mix (good protein extraction). I think I can use this for 15-20lbs batches easily. 10lbs is probably my mainstay, though. As others have noted, CMI is shipping 'Hakka Bros' equipment. This was $5 less expensive.

Plusses and Minuses from a Jerky Boy
I make jerky. I bought this to mix meat products, not dough. All comments regarding use apply only to meat products. 1) if you plan to mix GROUND meats with this, you are out of luck. The tolerances are not close enough to allow it to consistently push the meat around and fully mix it. A floor mixer or counter mixer such as a Kitchenaid works better. 2) if you plan to mix strips, this works okay, but it will tear up your strips a bit as they catch on the rails. Other mixers, particularly tumblers, work better for strips. 3) cleaning and assembly: those edges are SHARP and you will break skin, even with thicker shop nitriles so either sterilize with spray after or use really thick gloves. FINAL VERDICT: If you're making jerky I'd get something different.

Good mixer
Loced the mixer definitely better than mixing by hand. Only reason for 4 stars is at 25 lbs in the mixer it was full and did not mix as well as 20 lbs. Would recommend
