My favorite lipstick for decades. It kept my lips moisturized without being greasy. I'm so sorry this shade was discontinued.

Good lipstick. Stays on a long time

I have been looking for a deep brownish red color that doesn’t go on too light and end up looking too bright or too dark that it may as well be black.This is what I was waiting for!It doesn’t go on matte and rubs off on everything if you don’t set it with a powder first.(To explain, just if no one knows what I mean…on clean, dry, exfoliated lips you apply the first coat. Not too heavy just enough to cover your lips and then take a tissue and blot off excess. Don’t scrub it off, just blot to remove the excess and then apply a light coat of face powder. I use a compact pressed powder for this. And then apply your second coat. It should be more matte than it would be if done without the powder, and it will stay on a LOT LONGER this way, but for sure keep it in your purse for touching up during the day.)Anyway it’s more of a brownish sort of brick red than anything. Not too orange. Not too pink.And you can’t beat it for the price. I’m definitely going to order a few more just to have on hand in case they discontinue it or something. After alllll the lipsticks I’ve bought while looking for this shade I am so relieved to finally have it. I knew it had to exist but it wasn’t as easy to find as you’d think.If you are looking for a brownish based brick red just go ahead and try this!I absolutely love it.

It wasn't dark enough for me

This was my go-to lip brand and color in high school, and I still love it! It compliments my skin perfectly. I usually only wear a lip balm or bare lips, but I've rediscovered the Brandywine lipstick and I've added it back to my makeup routine.
