Nice warm boots, but no good for muddy places!
Since I spend a good deal of my time outdoors in the winter, I decided this year that I was going to buy a pair of warm boots with a nice, fleecy lining and, after a little hunting, decided to go ahead and buy these nice-looking Karrimor ones. When they arrived I was pretty impressed with them, they looked the part and felt like they were going to be warm and (hopefully) keep my feet nice and dry while I tromped around the stable yard where I keep my horse. They looked to be made of some sort of leather, but I suspected that they probably weren't at this price. When I popped my feet into these boots, they fit my size 8 feet really well and felt warm and snug. These things are comfy. I love the mega-squishy and almost bouncy feeling that they give when walking in them and, when outside in the cold and wet, they do a marvellous job of keeping my feet warm. Another plus point is that, so far, they have managed to keep them remarkably dry, too.The answer to my doubts as to whether they were made of leather or not were answered when, after a month or so of stomping through mud, puddles and stuff, the faux-leather coating on one of the boots started to peel away. This was mildly disappointing but thankfully did not affect the warmth or waterproofing and, as it happened on the inside edge of the boot, was not particularly noticable. At that point, I decided to be more careful and switched back to using my trusty Muck Boots for walking through mud, as these are obviously not designed for such an activity. On slippery days at the stable yard, another plus point of these boots is that they have fantastic grips on them and even on solid ice managed to keep me from falling onto my backside and embarrassing myself. They're also very easy to lace up and slip my feet into, so it's not a difficult task to switch between these and my Muck Boots and vice-versa, which is always a plus point on a mucky stable yard. Now, after five months of (infrequent) wear at the yard and avoiding mud, they're holding up pretty well. No more of the faux-leather has peeled off them and they remain to warm, comfortable and dry boots. Wearing two pairs of socks under them results in very toasty warm feet indeed and I'm actually pretty happy with them as a purchase.Update 19/08/2017I'm afraid to report that these boots are as good as finished. There's a crack near the toe for the left one which, should it rained on or otherwise get wet, will let in water like a sinking ship. The sole is coming apart from the uppers on the right one and the tread has almost worn down completely at the heels.Summing up, these boots are probably ok for occasional wear in the winter when the weather is cold outside. There's no denying that they're incredibly comfortable but long lasting or tough they ain't.

GAVE UP AFTER ONLY 8 WEEKS USEAGE
Received Friday, worn on a 5 mile flat walk Saturday. Felt like had them on feet months. Perfect and great fit. Sunday we had 3 inch snow and they held tight for 3 hours of trudging through it ankle deep. Never gave and remained warm, water tight and comfy. Only 3 days old but covered al terrains and happy with purchase.Update.Slow wander down the river bank and they have given up. Leather has torn and no suitable for only the bin. They started well, but dissapointed as I thought I'd get 12 months out of them not 8 weeks

Lightweight and comfortable, though I have my doubts how long they'll ...
Although part leather, there are a lot of cheaper plastic materials used.Lightweight and comfortable, though I have my doubts how long they'll last.As others have said, slightly on the small size.Went out in light snow (about 2 to 3 inches) to walk the dogs. Feet warm, grip good, but somehow my socks got slightly wet... it can only have got in through the seams.I found these at a 'deal' price on Amazon at £16 and really can't complain, they'll do an occasional job, but I wouldn't want to walk any great distance or in them in wet conditions.

Nice boots, comfy and warm but will require breaking in.
A little extra room in the fitting allows for thicker socks to be worn, together with the fur lining this keeps your feet snug and warm. They are deceptively heavy, though, so be prepared for the extra weight if hiking.I did have to break these boots in. Some boots are wearable immediately (Rockport makes excellent boots that don't require breaking in but they cost around £160). I made the error of walking a couple of miles in them and got some sizeable heel blisters, but they broke in after a few weeks of light wearing. Now they've been worn about for a few months, they're really comfy.Al that said, we still haven't had any snow.

The tread on these wears out really quickly
As Karrimor seem to no longer make the snow fur 3 boots, I decided to get these. The snow fur 3 were a perfect fit for me and instantly comfortable whereas these are a very tight 8. Breaking these in was worse than breaking in a pair of doc martens and the tread has completely worn away in places before I've even finished breaking them in. The rest of the tread looks like it won't last long either. Don't waste your money on these.

Comfort
Oh my goodness, yes, these are the boot's I've been looking for all these years. Comfortable, warm and no way near likely to become a trend crepe for our bame neighbors.Top quality made and as some see you next Tuesday on the bus found out, most effective for accidentally treading on some Richard craniums toes.

it's not like they were used for wading through puddles or anything ...
These Snow Boots are described as Waterproof but the first pair let in water at the toes after 3 months and were sent back for replacement. The replacement boots arrived and after a couple of months are now letting in water. Only used for light dog walking mainly over short grass, it's not like they were used for wading through puddles or anything like that.
