This is the perfect deep red results I was going for with my soap! I know a lady on YouTube did a video with using this product which turned it to a light pink color or for some it turned in brown on the center and red on the out side. At first I was very afraid because my soap came out like a brown with a hint of hue of red but when the soap was cut it morphed into this deep maroon color which is what I was going for. I added 2 Tbsps of this Rhubarb powder to my oil and infused it for 3 hours using the hot oil method.

Bitter taste as expected, good quality

Bought this for soapmaking as a natural colorants, didn't turn out like expected. Added to lye solution but didn't turn hot pink. After a few hours it was a purple-ish color. We'll see how it looks after some time.

I was skeptical about purchasing because I wasn't for sure if this would color my soap a pretty bright pink. I decided to give it a shot but it is kind of expensive! I didn't use a whole lot to start with and I filled my Mason jar almost to the top with olive oil I did a hot water bath and decided I would try a small amount. Well, that did not work and I thought I probably didn't use enough. The 2nd batch I used over 10oz of the infused olive oil and oven processed. It turned a beautiful color of bright pink! I was so excited. If your looking for bright pink soap colorant, this is it just add a lot and you won't be disappointed!!

Deceptive..that's why is not returnable. It may contain lead but it's not anywhere on the product description. You will see the P65 warning once you receive the product.

Lead in product. not advertised as such. I want my money back. They tried to cover the lead warning up with product bar code. not pleased.
