Not for puppies below a yr
So for all the people that are thinking about getting this cage first say like a 6-month-old to a nine month old or even a year old puppy I would recommend against it I bought this cage for my dog after she was 15 months old and she does great in it but I know for a fact that the way she used to chew on things and go stir crazy while she was a puppy she would destroy this cage and literally eat it apart lol so I'm writing this review to betterhelp people it's a great large dog cage if your dog is already trained and housebroken and just looking for a place to relax and feel comfy and cozy it is not a cage you want to get for your puppy that still learning and still energetic and wants to play so I hope this review helps again I did buy this cage and I give it a four-star rating only due to it being very cheaply welded together

Perfect
Purchased the 42 inch cage for my Boxer. It was the perfect size for her she is able to sit up and lay down comfortably. She will have room to grow. She also has plenty of room to play with her toys. For reference she is currently 8 months and about 50 lbs now. Added bonus is the second door so he cage can be turned accordingly and she still be able to get out comfortable.

Not as durable as I hoped
Bought this for my rescue pup; about 1 year old Staffy Pit. It was fine for about 6 months while she adjusted to living with me (and crate training). Then she managed to snap a few of the welds by the door & bend the metal and escape. A few zip ties later, it was fine for about a year. She didn’t break anything at all until today - about 1.5 years of use. She bent the door back so badly that all the hinges gave way. Now, she's an extremely energetic pup, but this thing will not hold up to larger (mine is 50 lbs), younger, or more energetic dogs. I'll be ordering another more heavy duty kennel to keep her safe!

So many things wrong with this
The cage is decently light for being for a large dog, however this comes with a ton of problems. The metal bars are very flimsy, very easily bent. We had the cage for no more than a week and our dog was able to push through the bars to get out. There was a storm, he was frightened and had no issue pushing through. This dangerous on many levels, what happened if the bars were to break and stab the dog?! What happens if the dog gets into something outside of the cage, when he was supposed to be in it?! It is not worth your money, spend the extra dollars and get something nice. This is a cheap product with a not great seller. Head to your local pet store or petsmart and purchase a cage. Now, I reported this to the seller, requested my refund, sent them a picture of the damage. Told them that I would be willing to ship it back or I could throw it out. They were decently rude and for some ridiculous reason, they want me to send it back (fine, pay double shipping on a 28 lb package) but why do we both need to go through this headache?! Now I have to get the darn thing in my car, repackaged and get it to ups. It’s frustrating but it’s on its way. I’ve never had such a crappy experience with a seller on Amazon.Bad enough that the cage sucks, even worse that the seller sucks.

Dangerous and Cheap, cheap, cheap
This cage is not welded together properly or however the metal bars are manufactured, the bars are very weak! The bars start breaking with little push that even my two year old grabbed one and pulled it off. This has been a nightmare of a cage! It’s dangerous too since your pup can easily get there head or limb stuck or even cut themselves with the broken bars. I have never seen a cage not hold up. My last cage is being reused again but it’s too small so I’ll need to buy another one. I’m on two months now and the cage is broken on two different sides - the door and a wall. My dog knocked one of the locks off in the first 3 weeks. When she realized this cage was weak she practically destroyed it. :/

Safety box
My Chihuahua did not like this at first but now he goes in it without me having to catch him. My neighbor hasn’t complained yet, so he must not be too bad. Everybody needs to have a kennel to make sure their animals safe when they’re gone. I don’t know if you can tell people that enough because you never know what a dog can get into especially a puppy. I think it’s cruel to leave them in it all the time. But if you’re gonna be gone for any amount of time they can get into so much, no matter the size.
