I love this product!! I have thinning/bald spots around the crown, middle of my head due to menopause and a doctor who decided testosterone was a good idea for a woman. WOMEN SHOULD NEVER TAKE IT!!! My hair dresser styles my hair and sprays the wet powder onto my scalp UNDERNEATH my existing hair to camouflage the thinning and baldness. After applying it she blows the wet portion dry on very low. It works so well that others cant tell I have thin spots or bald spots at all! The spray color becomes powder and adheres to the scalp. It stays on your scalp until you choose to wash it out. It does leave residue on your pillow cases so have plenty of shout and plenty of extra pillow cases. You will find the product on your face when u wake up as well. I keep wet wipes in my bathroom to use each morning. I would not wear white shirts or tops with collars-especially knit tops-it can stain them. This product is wonderful for BOTH men and women. The trick is to find the color spray that matches your hair color. For me, I change my hair color to match my spray powder. The colors are dark brown, medium brown, and blonde/white. The browns are quite dark. I have been treating my hormonal hair loss with a trained dermatologist and am having really great results-slow but results.

If you don't want your bathroom covered with this spray, don't waste your money on this one. I've tried the similar type of product that's "As seen on TV" and was quite happy with that. I couldn't seem to find it easily without ordering it so I figured I'd give this one a try. Big mistake! Although it's cheaper, it doesn't go on well at all. It takes more of this stuff to actually "do the job", which is touching up between colorings for me and what a mess it is!!! It seems to leave a fine mist in places you don't even see at the time - like the walls, floor, countertops and your face for instance. After reading some of the other reviews I remembered what else I disliked about this "stuff". It smells really bad & leaves your hair looking dull and flat. I wasn't using it to thicken my hair, just for the color coverage but it has so many "side effects" that the cure is worse than the "ailment". I see that some people like it (I can't understand how though!). I noticed some of the reviews were written a long time ago so it's possible the formula has changed & maybe for the worse. I couldn't wait to shampoo mine out!!!

Actually suprised that it works very well but only problem is it’s perfumed. Ugh. Can’t use it if I go out or smell like a strip club.

This product is impressive as to how it can "fill in" bald spots on the head. However, it is a fine powder that ends up EVERYWHERE, not just on your head. This is the issue with the "jet black' option anyway. The powder is a bit difficult to clean from floors, countertops, sink and shower. The product does its job but not without a mess.

I've used this product for many years now and I love it! I've tried several others and I keep going back to this one. The price is right and it covers nicely. I'll continue to use it until I could afford a hair transplant!

I’ve tried many different sprays, creams, powders, etc. for thinning hair (my hair is awful!), so I’ve got a LOT of experience with this stuff. Believe me when I say that this is good coverage (which makes me sad!) because this is also the absolute MESSIEST product I’ve EVER used and it smears horribly everywhere!! All on my hands, face, shoulders, counter, floor, feet (because I didn’t realize the mess on the floor until I walked to get cleaner for the counter and saw footprints!) Literally went back into the shower to wash it out immediately and then had to clean the shower because it just smears with water. I will NEVER spray this in my house again and highly recommend a hazmat suit & floor tarp if you choose to use this spray!

Worst product, I have used it once and will throw out. Biggest issue is a product that basically sprays out colored powder needs to have a small nozzle so the it doesn't over spray all over you and your bathroom. I sprayed very lightly right around hairline. I wore my hair in a ponytail to work that day. Once I got to work I realized I had dark, bruise like patches all over my face. A co-worker pointed it out, sure enough I went to check and I had black fall out all over my face. I had to go to the ladies room and wash my face and all my makeup with it. The product does not dry well, so more than 3 hours after using it with a light touch if you happen to touch, scratch or smooth your hair back you will have the powder residue all over your hands which will transfer to everything you touch, clothes included. I could not wait to get home that day and take a shower and wash all my clothes. Thank goodness it is cheap. I will go back to the Rita Hazan spray that has a small nozzle attached to ensure a more direct spray. Do not waste your money
