Q: Does the demister sucessfully clear the whole mirror or just a square where the pad is mounted? I noticed many of these mirrors the pad is very small.

Hi ours did demist totally but not straight away which is OK for me as I'm short

Q: Can this mirror be switched on at the mirror and then switched on & off at the bathroom light switch? It seems possible as we tried this at a showroom

Wire it into the switched live of the lighting circuit via a fused spur box. That way, the room light switch is the master and the onboard switch is the auxiliary. Hope this helps.
