The Holiday Present (Malory-Anderson Family)

Another hit by Johanna Lindsey, she's been a favorite of mine for many years now. I can't out her books down until I finish them .

The holiday present is wonderful and how the malory family came to be and that despite they are gypsies through their great grandmother they are still loved. Christopher and Anastasia taught their great grand children their children etc that all it matters is love no matter what does not matter what people think about it all that it matters is that two people love each other.

Johanna Lindsey is such a wonderful story teller. I look forward to her books, especially series, where you get to know a family and individual characters take over in a subsequent book to tell their story. By far the Mallory-Anderson series has been my all time favorite.

I bought this book for the Mallory continuation but I must say the second story was just as enjoyable. You just can not beat Johanna Lindsey for historical romance.

Because it was a great read and enjoyed the suspense. Loved the character's that brings out the story. Also the series of the books.

I read all of Johanna Lindsey's books. This is one I didn't know that I purchased the same book which also had another short story in it. I loved the story when I first read it and I loved it again when I read it this time.

Brilliant Read

This book contains two long novellas, both of which are connected to Christmas.The PresentThis is part of Lindsey's series about the Mallory-family and it makes more sense if you know the rest of the series.While the Mallory family gathers together for Christmas, they find out about the highly unconventional affair between one of their ancestors and a gypsy. This discovery finally gives a couple in the present the courage to look beyond their differences in social rank and stand by their love.This is a nice mix of two stories and it's a lot of fun to see all the Mallorys together.Home for the holidaysBaron Everett has received a final letter from his younger brother in which he blames Mr. Ascot, a business rival, for his failure and the loss of his fortune. He has disappeared and is supposed to have committed suicide. To Everett it's clear that he has to avenge his brother, so he starts to ruin Ascot's business, buys his house, and evicts the man's daughter Larissa and her younger brother a few days before Christmas. Since Ascot is travelling and might be lost at sea, Everett manages to get them to move in with him and sets out to seduce Larissa. What better revenge than to ruin not just Ascot's business, but also his daughter! But Larissa is a sweet young woman and soon Everett is much more interested in her than his revenge. But is there any chance for their budding love after all that he's done to her family?This is a dark story, but I still liked it. The characters were convincing and it was definitely something different.
