Love this product. So easy to use and you don't need a lot each time you apply. It washes out very gradually so you don't have to use it each time you wash your hair. Color is very cool; blends nicely with light blond, dark blond, or brown. It also helps your hair shine!

I am recently letting my hair go Gray. So I had a grape lending done, and it was quite expensive. The hairstyle is suggested getting this product, Rather than using those purple shampoos and conditioners, which only bleach out the hair further and make it look like straw. My hair was practically white platinum and when I used this product. Not only did it make it shiny, but it conditioned it and made it very manageable. Years ago I know people who used it and they said it got on their pillows and ran down their necks when they sweated, but that was the old Roux, and this one is the updated and fabulous Roux product that really does exactly what it says. My hair was almost straw, from all of the bleaching, used to get rid of the brown in my hair that remained, but now all I have to do is just get regular haircuts until my hair is completely grown out. The wonderful part is that I can use a variety of rue. Rinses to change the tone of my hair as I please. I used True Steel, But I may also get another one when I feel like being a little blonder, one day. Just be careful when you use it. Not to drip it on your clothes or towels or bath mat. I usually put it on in the shower on damp hair and let it stay and just rinse it quickly with a cold rinse, and then step out and style my hair. Whenever you use it, do it naked, or else you will surely get it on something. People say to wear gloves but I never do, and it does not stain my hands at all.

True Steel works great to get rid of purple left from White Minx. Great styling lotion for scrunching and curls, but leaves hair super sort that you need a thermal active spray on hair when using a curling iron or curl falls out. I’m a former hairdresser and have used this product since to late 80s.

My grandmother introduced me to this product 20 plus years ago when I bleached my hair. At that time I used the purple color to tone the brass between highlights. I loved it then, but those were the days of perming and crunchy hair wasn't a bad thing. My hair is now 2NAA, a cool, almost black color. My hair grows very quickly revealing silver. I've used a lot of products to touch up the lighter shades between color treatments and most of them left a disgusting film on my hair. Root touch up, color crayons, powder, you name it. This product has done a superb job at covering up the silver, it even slightly tints my scalp making it appear thicker. The only problem I have is that it can make the hair feel a bit dry or a little stiff when it's first styled. I had to add a bit more product to my hair (oils & leave in conditioner) and that seems to help. It's a bit messy so poured it into a spray bottle to apply. While in the shower, after I towel dry my hair, I spray the roots really good and rub it in, then I comb it through. Before blow drying, I apply a good leave-in conditioner and Aveda Brilliant finishing oil to keep it from getting too tacky. It still does but it smoothes out after a while. It washes out the next shampoo. Once my hair is dry the product doesn't run if it gets wet in the rain a bit. I wouldn't trust it in a pool, etc. Overall I really love this product and it's the best thing I've found to cover the grow out completely. It also evens out the faded color saving damage to my hair. I only wish the conditioner in the product was a bit better. If it were it would get 5 stars for sure. Also, if you don't wash your hair and reapply, some will wear off.

I'm really delightfully surprised and pleased with this product! It's much better than purple mask, get the cool tone without the purple! And hair all nice and soft, shiney! No rinse either.

I was so glad to fine this product again, I don't think I actually used it but my mom did. Now with my graying hair I didn't want to get in the dyeing game again and accidently found this on amazon. I think it looks great and will try a few colors to see which I like the best. I just washed my hair and used this morning and it worked well and since I don't wash my hair about 3 times a week, certainly made my hair softer.

Nice texturizing, easy to apply to well-towel-dried hair in the shower with just your hand and massaged in. Unfortunately my silver gray hair growing in after chemo won't turn any darker than a nice light blonde. It still looks good and get compliments but after trying 2 different shades Fawn and Plush Brown, it's still only goes to blonde. I make sure the hair is super clean too with no conditioner in the way. Maybe it's the chemo effect on the new hair.

This product has been around for years and it works! If you have mousy brown hair that's graying and want to add body and shine while covering your gray with a subtle color, this is your product! My mother was a hairdresser and introduced me to this product when I was in college. I suggest "Frivolous Fawn" for brownettes. I've had many complements since using it and not one asked "are you coloring your hair"...they just say it looks shiny and heathy. The bonus is my hair has much more body and looks a lot fuller.

kaufe ich bestimmt schon seit 3-4 jahren...ich liebes es😍 mattiere meinen gelben ansatz damit (schonender). pflegende produkte können aufgelegt werden und die haare fühlen sich gut an...ich werde immer wieder auf die haarfarbe angesprochen:)! dieses produkt wird nach der haarwäsche in die handtuchtrockenen haare einmassiert und NICHT ausgespült!

Have used this product occasionally for years and its excellent. Highly recommend to jazz up your grey or silver hair.

This is a good product if you either have just a few greys to mask in your hair and use one close to your hair colour or if your roots are starting to show before a trip to the salon. I have only used it for small areas, for which I think it works well. I don't know if it would be good to cover one's whole head.
