Great extra battery
I own the OREGON 40 Volt MAX* CS250-E6 Chain Saw Kit with 2.4 Ah Battery Pack and after using the saw off and on for about a month, decided to invest in a second battery. Having a second 2.4 Ah battery has made the saw near perfect for most uses After depleting a battery, I will put in on the charger and grab the second one. After "continuously" cutting brush or bucking logs, the battery has completely recharged when I go to swap batteries again. The 2.4 Ah battery was the largest-capacity battery available when I purchased the saw and later this spare battery. At this posting, I saw that a 4 Ah battery is now available. The 2.4 Ah battery is very lightweight for its capacity, provides a great runtime, and I would happily purchase it again. However, you may consider the larger battery, because I'm sure it will make the Oregon PowerNow tools even more awesome!

Timber(lite)!
The Oregon PowerNow chain saw is a convenience for lighter cutting of fallen timber or branches on standing timber. It is easy to carry and use, has way to sharpen the chain while in the field, and has no gas smell to foul up the immediate area . It will not quickly cut larger diameter hardwood, it is best to have a gas chainsaw for typical tree clearing of larger wood.As a woman not used to lots of chainsaw cutting, this is easy to handle, feels solid and safely made, and so far is reliable for light yard cleanup or specific cutting projects such as treetop cleanup after logging. The downsize is the cost, there may be competitors for battery operated chainsaws that are more affordable and do similar work. But this has decent battery life (heavy duty battery purchased) and the blade sharpener built into the saw is nifty.I am glad I have it for when I need it, and recommend it if it fits your needs.

Failed with little use after 4 months
Worked well over 3 months and perhaps 4 or 5 charges, then failed to show any green charge lights after repeated charges. It is possible that just the charge LEDs are bad and the battery is still good but something major is wrong.Supposedly they (Blount Company for Oregon, called number in user manual) is sending Fedex to pick it up and ship it back to them for free, very helpful, but $150 battery 3 months?Mike in VA

One Tough Battery
This is one tough battery; I use this one first as it has the power to do lots of limbs, and the smaller battery for cleanup. Really enjoy using a saw that doesn't need prestarting or noise either; simple battery charging.

Good battery.
The battery is good, holds a charge for a full 60 minutes but I think it performs best if used more than a few times a year. My first battery didn't seem to last very long, in fact died completely and wouldn't take a charge after about 8 months. But overall I like the battery and enjoy the chainsaw very much. It has good power, cuts anything I put in front of it, is quiet and light weight.
