Parrot Perch Rough-surfaced, Sand Perches for Parakeet and Other Small Bird Keeps Beaks & Claws Trimmed

I purchased this because of the rough surface, in hopes it would be good for my cockatiels' toe nails. The size is good and the bright colors are a nice addition to their cage. The best thing about this perch is how much my birds love it. It is great to see all three of them sitting on this at the same time. This perch is holding up well, the birds have not damaged it so far!

My cockatoo uses this all the time!

I bought this for my bird so he had extra perches. I originally thought he would use it to rub his beak on it, but he doesn't do that much, at least in my presence. But I have to say he does like it and gets good use out of it. He likes teasing the two kitties we have. It is easy to put together and attach to the cage.

Good height from top of cage for Quaker and Cockatiel. Has gritty texture. I like having different size, shape and texture to their perches. Very easy to put together.

Birds love the perch! My only question is why does it have a weird smell.
