Fancy Nancy: 5-Minute Fancy Nancy Stories: 12 Fabulous Bedtime Stories About Fashion, Friends, and Giggles for Kids (Ages 4-8)

My daughter is almost five and she loves all things pink, sparkly, and girly! I love that she loves books so I decided to order this collection for her. At the time, we didn't own any Fancy Nancy books so when it arrived, she looked at it and really wasn't that thrilled, mostly because she wanted more Pinkalicious books. BUT, she ended up checking out a Fancy Nancy book from the school library and, since then, she's been asking for me to read stories from this book a couple times a day! This collection of stories includes 12 Fancy Nancy stories. For anyone unfamiliar with Fancy Nancy, Nancy is a school-age girl who loves all things fancy, frilly, and girly. She likes to use fancy words (and then explains them in plain English right away) and she has quite the imagination. Most of the stories take place either at school or at home. In the stories, Nancy learns a lesson of some sort, such as no lying and always be nice to others. Nancy is very friendly and uses her thinking skills to decide what to do when she has a problem. I like that the stories incorporate that thinking process to help encourage kids of what to do. There are 12 stories in this book and they average around 16 pages long. The entire book has 192 pages and has the typical puffy hardcover like all of the 5-Minute storybooks do. These stories would probably only take us five minutes each to read but my twins always ask questions about the story so it's often a few minutes more than that. Even my son enjoys the stories, mostly because he just loves it when I read to him! Overall, this book has been a hit in our household, once my daughter discovered that she loves Fancy Nancy stories! It's an amazing deal to get 12 stories for such a good price and we love these 5-Minute storybooks. We have a number of them and they are great for reading a couple stories before bedtime or anytime during the day. If you have a little girly girl who loves books, I highly recommend buying this book!

My daughter checked this book out of our library and she started to read it every day. When it came time to return it she didn't want to give it up. I had to buy her a copy. She reads it herself before she goes to bed and really enjoys the stories. It's colorful, easy to read and has cute pictures. I like that it's a big thick book. Good buy for Fancy Nancy fans.

This book was liked very much by my 4, almost 5 yr old granddaughter. She wanted to read the stories over & over. Illustrations are detailed and wonderful.

Love that there’s couple stories in this book altogether. Fun book to read at night.

This is a nightly favorite for my 3yr old. I let her pick which story she would like and we usually read a good 3 before her eyes start to get heavy. The stories are a bit extended so it's nice even if we only have time for one story. They are sweet & fun, love Fancy Nancy! I have yet bored of this book...nor has my enthusiastic daughter and fan of FN.

My girls are big fans of fancy Nancy and this book is awesome.

This book is a very good value. You get many decent length stories in one book. Perfect for bedtime. My granddaughter is very much into “Fancy” things at 3 1/2 so she loves this book. I think kids up to age 8 may enjoy this book. What I like best is the vocabulary building. They are always using more advanced words then saying, “that’s a fancy word for…” they also use a little French.

Great book. Quite big in size and lovely pictures. My 5yr old loves this book, it has been her go to book since we got it and she loves talking about the stories and pictures and the meaning. Each story is about 5mins and a lot of them have a life lesson which is great. We love it and I would definitely recommend.

Love this book! Best of the 5 minute stories and I own allot! Enjoys so much cause the stories sound much more grown up in the writing style, and they add in French and more “ fancy words” The definitions are listed right after for the kids in brackets and at the start of the book. Like always the artwork work is superb! :)
