Always works. I’ve used it for years. Excellent product used by all my dog owner friends.

So I actually got this for my cat who loves to produce diarrhea. He refuses to eat it and lets it trickle out of his furry little mouth when I put it in there. If this happens to you, be sure to clean it up quick. Once it dries, it's a pain to clean up. Then my dog had another bout of HGE which means vomiting and severe bloody poohs that look like raspberry jelly and smell like death. The first time she had HGE, I had to have her hospitalized on IV fluids because things were so bad. This last week, she started to have another bout of HGE. I immediately started feeding her low fat cottage cheese with a topping of this stuff 4x a day. She stopped vomiting and there has been some diarrhea, but very little blood in the diarrhea. If this continues to work like it has been the last two days, it will save me approx $1000 in vet bills.

Thought it would be best to write this review after using the product for a month. So far so good! My old lady has been living with IBD with her entire life. It got progressively worse as she became a senior and developed kidney disease. With approval from her vet, I give her a dose every other day to keep her IBD tendencies at bay. She’s been putting on weight, eating SO WELL, and doesn’t poo like a firehose. I’m really happy with her life improvement. Amazing thing is this bottle is so large it lasts a long while. I’ve even given a dose to my dog and it helped him as well. Great stuff to keep in your cabinet!

My 14 year old Lab mix BEST friend dog got into our garbage a couple times and got TERRIBLE diarrhea two times in two weeks. The first episode was so bad, I was a newbie to doggie diarrhea,lol, so after my dog was literally spraying our floors with his dia... I got him to the vet. Ended up after a $400-ish bill our vet said seems our dog had garbage gut or whatever she called it. In other words he ate some bad stuff that's not good a for a dog. She told me NOT to use IMODIUM A-D as it's better for all the bad to come out. GREAT!, my floors and carpet loved her opinion...but I did follow what she said, plus gave my dog some weird medicine she prescribed that cleared up his problem within maybe 4 days...long time. OH I found adding a good dog probiotic is a help btw..learned that after. I had been reading Kao Pectin was much more safe for dogs and I found THIS product which seemed to be great in that it didn't have the stuff that's bad for a dog like good ol pepto bismol. I bought this Durvet Kaolin Pectin JUST to have on hand in case my best friend decided to eat some bad stuff again which he DID within 2 weeks of the first diarrhea episode. In any case sorry finally to the REVIEW. This stuff DOES seem to work..but I'd say not super fast. I'd say my dog's diarrhea got under control within 1 to 2 days but it doesn't work instantly. I also gave my dog some IMODIUM A-D one a day 2mgs he's 50 pounds, as he was like a walking diarrhea time bomb, and I had to go to work. In short I feel this stuff worked well..but in my case I can't say it helped in a couple hours....more like 1-2 days, but seems safe and gentle and palatable mixed with dog food,...other than that guess it's a good price and a good thing to keep on hand if you have a dog who can't be supervised 24/7...4 stars for me.

This is the best product to have in the house when you have a dog with a sensitive stomach. I use a syringe to get it into his mouth after he has diarrhea. Usually 1 dose stops the squirts. Too bad the FDA removed it for human use a few years ago, saying it is of no value! Realy!!! It is simply kaolin clay and pectin. Nothing toxic and no medication to go systemic. It simply slows evacuation of the bowel, so water is absorbed by the body and bowel motility returns to normal. If you wish to find a similar human product, you would need to go to Canada!

This old-fashioned antidiarrheal is still better, safer and more natural than any of the newer products. The "new products suppress symptoms only, but Kaolin&Pectin cures it" -- my pharmacist words. I traveled far to attempt my first 20,000ft peak then on the last days in civilization I came down with diarrhea and the climb seemed unlikely. The fancy new products made me feel better but the diarrhea got worse. I swallowed 4oz of this product and the problem was solved in about 8 hours, in time to make the climb. Label says "for animals", but I am an animal and it worked perfectly!

I'm thinking this in pill form might be better for my dog. I used a medicine syringe to give this to my cat. It was messy, but it worked in one day. Attempted to use on my dog later on and delivery by syringe proved to be futile.

My dogs liked the taste which made it so much easier to administer it to them. Best if put in food! Thank you☺️

C'est le 3e produit que j'essaie car les 2 autres n'ont fait aucun effet, premièrement je ne comprend pas pourquoi la livraison prend tant de temps puisque ça vient des U.S.A., mais finalement il est arrivé à la date limite. Les autres produits mon chat les avalaient sans problème mais celui-ci il ne veut absolument pas l'avaler, il le garde dans sa gueule et finit par le laisser sortir avec beaucoup de bave! Alors assez difficile de dire que ça fait effet car c'est la 5e fois que je lui en donne et il a toujours la diarhée, peut-être que je crois qu'il en avale un peu malgré tout mais qu'il n'en avale pas du tout finalement! Je vais continuer de lui en donner en espérant qu'il finisse par en rejeter un peu moins et on verra si ça fait effet.

Reçu très rapidement. Et ce produit est excellent. Si votre animal à des problèmes avec des selles trop molles, ce produit est excellent, il aide vraiment à revenir à des selles normales. Je le recommande.
