Love this story
Loved this story! As with all Kristin Hannah's stories she sucks you in with her perfectly developed characters. She makes you feel as if these are your friends and family that she is describing. You get emotionally involved with her characters, to the point of tears and laugh out loud joy! She has quickly become my favorite author!

Very moving. Very relatable
From start to finish I could identify with so many of the characters and era. A great coming of age moving into adulthood and beyond.

The only person I like by the end of this book with the husband ...
This book really had promised but the ending ruined it for me completely because no character was able to redeem themselves. The only person I like by the end of this book with the husband Johnny and it wasn't by force. I never quite understood The Stereotype that a woman who chooses to be successful has to be single and miserable while the doormat kind of female is the one that becomes a wife it's stupid. This book was busy and trying too hard

High expectations-but disappointed
The characters- Tulley and Katie were very interesting, but I waited & waited for the climax. It didn't come until the last minutes of the story. I read Homefront and was engaged and in suspense during the entire novel. I expected the same quality, but was somewhat disappointed.
